2024-2025 UC San Francisco

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
To those interviewing for JMP: Are you also unable to designate JMP on AMCAS following the instructions they sent? "Joint Medical Program UC B/SF" is greyed out for me in the list of schools on AMCAS.
I have the same problem. UC B/SF is greyed out in the list of schools on AMCAS. Has any of you JMP interviewees figured out how to select the program on AMCAS?

I emailed admissions about the same problem and they said "We will add the UCSF-JMP program to your AMCAS application before your interview day."

Not totally sure, but I think that means they'll give us access to make the program not greyed out/available for us at some point. I think we can just check back a bit closer to our interview dates?

Has everyone received the financial aid mail already? Wondering if I should email admissions since I haven't received mine yet ://

Great! thank you for the info!!

Yes I have! I added UCSF too...

I wouldn’t worry too much about it. I am sure it will come soon, but looking back at previous threads it does not appear like it has an indication towards a future acceptance or rejection

Historically it seems that first-waves decisions come out on the first Friday of February. Does anyone disagree? Mentally preparing for them to come on 02/07. The dean mentioned first week of Feb but no specific date

Hi guys! Do you recommend sending a post-II update even if you don't have much to update them on (mostly continuing activities)? I'm wondering if I should just to show continued interest?

It could be on the Wednesday too! I think 2022 they released on a wednesday (February 2nd) so you never know.

I received an interview for UCSF and the SJV Prime program specifically. Any notes on what to expect? What is the format like? How should I prep? They haven't given us much info on what interview day will look like

on google it say it is a cloud for employees and faculties. IDK if everyone who was interviewed get one

If we don’t get it soon it might be an indication of rejection in my opinion since usually schools make portals for accepted and waitlisted students.

I also haven't completed my finaid. Could be a glitch though (don't see last year having the same problem) so time will tell. Best of luck guys

OOS no Okta email, but check this out: IAM Modernization: Single Sign-On | UCSF IT

This was on the webpage for logging into the Finaid portal.

Looks like UCSF IT is migrating from Duo to Okta for SSO, which may not be an immediate process, hence some people getting it and some not? As above, I think it is way too early to tell if it has to do with A/WL/R. But who knows lol, maybe it is!

Are the SJV PRIME interviews the same as the regular program interviews or is it a completely separate system/interview day? There's info on here about the regular UCSF interview but I'm not sure if that applies to me. Is it open or closed file?

How it feels to not be rejected or invited for an interview 🥲

any mstp invites since the new year :") or are they done

Could anyone share what the OKTA email says? Not to be neurotic or anything…
