Got rejected from these homies yesterday I think? lame Galveston, lame
 
Question for anyone else who pre-matched: are we supposed to accept it in the mySTAR portal as well as the AMP portal? As stated earlier, I still want to participate in the match so want to make sure I'm not doing anything binding.

The email sent is confusing as it refers to accepting this as both "accepting an offer of admission" and "indicating you plan to matriculate", which in my mind are two very different things? Please correct me if I'm wrong!

You can accept any and all offers at this time! Based on TMDSAS policy, they are not binding. I think you are good to go ahead and accept in MyStar.

Texasvandy mentioned earlier that they might have released the Dec prematch as a test batch?

They might still be discussing the most recent interviewees before making more offers.

There's reason for hopium because this is a large class size of 230, and I have noticed that (so far) many of those who shared that they got a prematch from UTMB also have prematches at other schools too. They might rank UTMB #1 or they might not. You will come out of Match Day with one school.
 
Not sure if this is helpful, but I believe a LOT of people including admin/ office staff left campus for vacation/ family time w the upcoming holidays. It was super empty Thursday and Friday. We also received an email that admin offices are working remotely/ not normal hours during thr next week. The delay may be purely logistical.

Nope. They will make a Facebook and a GroupMe on match day! Y’all will get an email w a link shortly after match

Their admissions offer releases are not strictly predictable so I don't want to guess any specific date.
Last year they sent out the first offers on December 15 (similar to this year) and the second set in the last half of January.
If you have something new to tell them about or something you would like to say to them, send it now!

Just in case it wasn't clear for readers, preview days have NO BEARING on your acceptance. None at all. Like, you could come in shorts and flip flops (please don't) and it would not matter a speck for admissions.

I'm going to be honest, after interacting with applicants on preview days I can barely remember your names, much less remember things to report back to admissions about.
 
UTMB has their preview day tomorrow, however the weather is pretty bad. Will they cancel the event since people will be traveling to the island??

Some of the schools located further north are not having classes tomorrow
If you are concerned about traveling they will understand
Has UTMB sent out any emails about whether the event is still happening?

Their latest email was from a week ago and it just mentions that Galveston’s weather is unpredictable

Rain is going to stop around 6am. It should be fine. If you’re traveling from somewhere that got hit by snow/ice then use your best judgement on whether to come or not. Unlikely to be cancelled if they didn’t send out any alerts today.

Roads are minimally flooded but the rain has stopped. Wear super warm clothes for the tour, the wind is bad
