When did you interview? Mine was 02/12, and I haven’t heard back. I’m panicking that is a bad sign

I interviewed the first week of feb; from my conversations with other accepted applicants, it seems like they release 4+ weeks, even though they said the earliest may be in three. hopefully you hear back next week

Thank you for the quick reply! I was offered an interview on 02/03, so I was looking at that as a reference. I will try not to jump off a cl1ff until 4 weeks lol.
 
OOS (but extremely strong ties) pre-II R just now. Was a very bad fit imo anyway so no hard feelings <3 Wishing all the best still in the game here!!

I heard that in the student portal there is a class directory that already includes the class of 2029. Could any current student on here take a look and let us know the number of students in there? Wondering if the class is pretty much filled and I am just waiting for a post-interview rejection 😢

I’m not sure who is in the position to do that, but I would encourage you to take a step back and breathe. Waiting and being in the unknown is difficult-I absolutely sit with you in that as someone who is also waiting on a final decision. With that said, and I say this with the kindest intent, knowing the number of people in the GroupMe or the number of students in the class directory may not be the consolation that you imagine it to be. The fact of the matter is, people change their minds all the time and there won’t be a clearer picture of what that looks like until closer to mid/late April. It sucks, but there’s not much else that can be done other than to wait. In the meantime, continue to care of yourself, offer an update if you have one, and hope for the best. I’m hoping with you that the door opens to where you will thrive in your medical training!

Once you've been invited for an interview, they allow you to provide that information in your application portal. If you're having trouble locating that, emailing the admissions email directly should be fine.
 
Has anyone received a financial aid package / merit scholarship yet? Are those all coming out April 28th?
 
In previous years, they haven't released scholarship info until closer to the start of the class.

I was placed on the AL with "very high" ranking. Any idea if this rank holds any merit? It seems like a lot of people have this rank.

Referencing previous years, “very high” could mean top third or middle third. Last year, I saw one poster from the middle third receive an acceptance, but it depends. Guess we won’t know for another week and a half or so 🫠

I was thinking the same thing. It feels like a lot of people receive “very high ranking” but could just be the bias from the people commenting on this forum

Did it tell you in your email that you were ranked "very high"? Mine just said I was on the AL so panicking a bit about where I might fall on the list 😢

I’m also going. I went to the Open House and imagine that though there may be similarities to that experience, there will be more opportunities for student interaction because my friends (one who’s an M1 and the other who’s an M3) will be present.

From what I was told, all interviews after the beginning of Feb were interviewing for the waitlist, so you’re still in the game. What was the exact wording?
 
Does anyone have any idea/insight into how the different tiers have moved on average in the past? For example, I know basically all of the top third gets in but about what percentage of middle third and bottom third get in on average? Lastly, does anyone have any idea how they actually go through the tiers, is it in order of 1st, 2nd, and 3rd or maybe just up to admissions? Because I could have sworn I saw someone say they got accepted from a tier lower than the first third in a previous year thread before even some top thirds were accepted in the same thread? (I might be wrong about that though)
