Congrats!!! I think the difference between eligible and tentatively eligible is eligible means the computer made you tentatively eligible and then an HR rep reviewed your application and then made you regular eligible. So I believe everyone in the “ tentatively” eligible group is still awaiting review from an HR rep, to see if they then become eligible. I’m hoping they have everything figured out before March ends. Waiting is so draining lol

Congrats! With my personal statement I just wrote enough to answer the question not really paying attention to the word count and was still able to get an interview. Good Luck!

Hi and welcome! I'm going to tell you about my experience because I believe its a unique to most people experiences. I submitted my personal statement in early march (3/8) and interviewed by the end of march (3/27). It was very fast. The reason for that is that I 'm a veteran and they like to interview the veterans first and get them out the way. Good luck!

I would say the interview was really causal. There were 2 interviewers one guy who had been with the CDC for over 2 decades and the other was a guy who just graduated the program and converted to a FTE position. They asked really basic interview questions "Tell me about a time where you had juggle multiple deadlines" They asked me little about my background and why Im interested in the program. nothing to bad. I would say as long as you are yourself and answer the questions thoroughly you should be fine. Good Luck!

I honestly have no clue how they conduct interviews, but I would say to email [email protected] and ask them have they already sent out ALL invitations for interviews.
So I wouldnt go off by the status saying Submitted. My application still says submitted and I have already been matched. I would check your inbox, spam folder and make sure you haven't missed it. Like Jada said you can always call/email the helpdesk. I pray you get a resolution whether it be positive or negative. 🙏 But hoping for positive.
The interviewer said to be on the lookout for acceptances/ matching to start in june ( im assuming mid/late June based on past forums). Matching will continue throughout the summer. keep checking usa jobs and efms/phap portal for updates during this time.

They are definitely non-negotiable BUT they try their best to place you based on your preferences. Thats why they ask your top 5 locations and whether you are willing to take a rural, indian or overseas assignment.
