Just got an email from them saying that secondaries will be released on 8/1 !!!
 
I just got an email from them saying I'll receive the secondary on August 1st. I'm an OOS applicant and not early decision.
 
im thinking ppl shd be getting calls this weekend or so.. since its been abt 2 weeks since they started interviewing folks
 
Has anyone submitted secondary after 7/10 gotten an II yet? ED here, secondary submitted 7/18
 
I just got a second interview invite, did anyone else get one? How was different from the first interview?

i had my second interview 7/8, it was p different from my first interview in terms of vibes, but the questions were p similar (why ED, why NJMS) and then some more specific questions based on ur application
 
are anybody's letters still not received on the secondary portal?
 
Does anyone know how common are the second interviews for ED applicants?
It seems no acceptance till date but there are not many ED applicants on this forum.

Yes but it was optional
 
For ED people who have gotten interviews
1. How did you find out- through email, the portal or both? I’ve been checking like crazy
2. How far in advance did they schedule the interview? Did you feel like you had enough time to practice?

1. You’ll get an email that lets you know you were selected for an interview and tells you to go into your portal to schedule it
2. When you go to schedule the interview there’s a tab in your portal where there’s a calendar with available dates/times and you pick - can be as early as the next day or 4 weeks from then

I submitted 7/10, and haven't heard anything. I think this cycle is effed because Dr.Heinrich died less than 2 weeks before ED secondaries got sent, so it's probably been a mess behind the scenes. Dr. Heinrich was the major proponent of this ED system, which literally no other Medical school in the US does. It's been his process for years now, and without him, I don't think they want to continue with this ED-heavy class, essentially functioning like every other medical school. Idk I could be wrong, but compare sdn posts from this year to previous years, you can tell something is off.

I actually got the II on 7/25, interview scheduled 7/31. But yea things definitely slowed down a lot this year due to Dr. Heinrich passing, considering many got their calls around 7/20 last year and it's been radio silence this year.

I don’t think so. I mean a lot of people have been getting interviews and there was a lot of ppl (20ish or a bit more) at the Dean session I was at and I think there is like 4 ED dean sessions so like 80 ppl ED at least got II. I do think they are behind schedule with Dean Heinrich passing, but if they are giving out this many II they are gonna also give out a good amount of As. Obviously they won’t take everyone but I think they are still interviewing a lot of people and will take a pretty substantial amount of ED.

You mentioned these Dean sessions- I went to one a while ago but are they still happening? The website says the last one was on May 22 so how do you know people are getting II? Hope you don’t mind me asking

Trying to figure out how many there were I know there was one on 7/8 and 7/16 - did anyone else attend one on a different date?
 
Just got an II. phew.

If anyone who's interviewed has any advice, insight or tips they'd be willing to share with me via dm I'd so greatly appreciate it. I know we're all technically "competition" here but it's my first one and I have no idea what I'm doing.

congrats! are you IS and when did you complete?
 
Have they mentioned an acceptance timeline in the more recent meet the deans sessions? In mine we were told about 2 weeks, I’m wondering if an update was potentially relayed there.
