Congratulations! Do you mind sharing your interview date?I GOT THE CALL TODAY! IS Acceptance!!! GO HEELS!
No. Interviewed 9/4Has anyone else heard back?
ugh for real especially because they were very vague with the timeline lolno 🙁 Interviewed mid-september. The wait is terrible.
any day could be the day (hopefully)ugh for real especially because they were very vague with the timeline lol
I interviewed today, it was pretty low stress. Just relax and be yourself.Any advice for UNC's interview?
Thanks for the kind words! This is my second cycle having interviewed with UNC and last year the process was drawn out so long it became exhausting (ended up being waitlisted, then rejected). Interviewed mid September (compared to early October last year) and at this point I'm just worried that it'll be the same. I wish UNC was more consistent with communication, but I'm happy to stay patient.Hi all! Congrats on any IIs and acceptances so far and sending good vibes to those struggling with the wait. I’m a current MS1 and I know it sucks right now, but when they sent out the info about the current interview season to us, I was shocked because I couldn’t believe it had already been that long since my interview. I promise that once time stops dragging, it will fly by and everything will be worth it! (Even if it maybe takes longer than you hoped to get there). Just wanted to offer some hope and encouragement and let you know that I’m happy to answer any questions. Hang in there, potential future Tar Heels! ❤️
I feel you on the communication - it makes all the other stuff so much harder. Fingers crossed for you this cycle! Please let me know if I can offer any help or advice, friendThanks for the kind words! Lol I am totally with you in that thinking. My guess is maybe on Wednesday or Thursday but who knowsSo is anyone else hopefully for more As this week because that's when they were sent out again last year or is that silly of me? Also to put me out of my pain...has anyone who interviewed on 9/25 gotten an As?
Would you share your submission date?+1 IS II!! 🙂
however dates were all booked out… have to wait until late January :/
7/29 😬Would you share your submission date?
Congratulations!!!7/29 😬
Congrats! When was your interview?Got the call today! I got the A!
Same! Congrats! I interviewed in early October.Got the call today! I got the A!
Interviewed first week of October!Congrats! When was your interview?
I don't think they send out WLs and rejections until April. Everyone will get a status update by December with either an acceptance or saying we are still under consideration. I'm hoping and manifesting that they call more tomorrow but idk. The interviewers are calling so I feel like that makes it pretty random. good luck back at ya!Has anyone received calls for waitlists/ denials? I interviewed in early October and missed 2 calls from a UNC hospital number today (ugh I was working). Any thoughts? Hopeful it was them. Good luck to everyone!!
Yep. I'm not sure what UNCs process is, hopefully we've still got a good shot.Anyone else interview early September and not hear anything yet?
In the same boat, hopefully they’re just batching us into statistical groups for acceptances at this point. I can’t be dragged on like they did to us last year 😭Anyone else interview early September and not hear anything yet?
IS Acceptance call 11/6, Interview on 10/20. Have not seen any email or portal update
Congrats!!! IS A+ call yesterday too!, Interview on 9/18. No update on portal either.
Yea it showed up after my interview. It’s just a survey unfortunatelyJust saw a new tab show up on my portal, "Post Interview Survey - MD", did anyone else see it? Interviewed 10/16. no decisions yet.
ah I figured. Just wondering why it showed up after almost a month. Thanks!Yea it showed up after my interview. It’s just a survey unfortunately
I really don’t think it’s THAT many acceptances. On admit only I think 13 ppl reported being accepted so I would say based on here + admit + ED applicants, only probably about 20-30% of their class has been accepted.I’m terrified because I just got invited today for an interview. My interview date is January 15 and after seeing all these acceptances, I’m very worried I’m too late…
This is my first cycle applying. Does anyone have any feedback on interviews/my chances with a later interview?
Ya especially with the increased class size. 230 for 2025 and same for 2026 I believe.I really don’t think it’s THAT many acceptances. I have not paid my deposit. I tried a week ago and it did not go through. Just waiting on their email for the okay to payCongrats to those of you getting acceptances and interviews! Did anyone who got accepted around 11/7 pay their deposit yet? I got an email for accepted students saying there was a glitch with the payment system and they would email us when it was fixed, but I am getting nervous now that it's been almost two weeks and I haven't received an email saying it was fine to proceed with the deposit payment.
id say close but prob a bit higher, admit is a bit more neurotic and prob is skewed towards stronger applicants? on their website they said "Generally, around 7,000 prospective students apply, around 600 are interviewed, and 190 matriculate into our medical school." so thats already at least a 32% acceptance rate needed to hit the class size they want + they want a class size of 230 for this yearAdmit says post interview acceptance is 46%, does this look accurate or is it higher/lower?
traditional 3 20min interviews and closed fileWhat is the interview format, and are they open file?
