I am a recent graduate with a B.S. in psychology (minor biology) and a B.S. in criminology (minor chemistry). I am currently in the process of deciding whether to apply for this cycle or waiting until next year. I just found out I don't qualify for FAP (curse my parents income -__- ) so this is another factor that comes into play.

GPA: 3.51 w. an upward trend

sGPA:
3.7

MCAT:
507 (125/127/126/129). Was hoping for higher =/

Schools:
Undecided

State of Residence:
Can qualify as instate for both GA and FL

URM:
Biracial (African American & White Female)

Questions: Should I bother retaking the MCAT? What are my chances if I apply early this cycle? Or should I wait and strengthen my ECs?

I believe you have to pick one on AMCAS, but of course, you'd then show string ties to the other. Either state is very good for in-state (IS) applicants, unlike MD and CA, so you're in luck

🙁

Solid ECs, might want to increase the # of volunteer and/or clinical hours before applying.

507 is about a 29 on the old scale, with your GPAs and URM status, however, your chances are good as you stand. Apply broadly to your in-state schools and form a list of low and mid-tier MD schools, as well as HBCUs.
