I decided to start this thread for people like me who have numerical NBDE scores and have done GPRs/ Internships and want to apply to omfs next cycle. I have done a good GPR and only applying for 4 year programs around the east coast due to personal reasons. I have a 89 NBDE and a good class rank. I have contacted some of the program directors in NYC area and got responses from some of them.
Here are some of the programs that don't need NBME if you have NBDE score.
Woodhull, Brooklyn hospital, rutgers, and tufts.
Here are some of the programs that did request NBME even if you have numerical NBDE new york medical college, Nassau county.
Didn't get a response from BU, Montefiore, St. Joseph, Jefferson and few others
What are the rest of you doing who have a numerical NBDE ( close to 90 or above) and a good class rank. Do you still plan on taking the NBME?
Any input from current omfs residents will be highly appreciated.
