I am thinking about taking one of those 5 hour energy drink in the morning on the day of the Test. Is it a good idea? Do these things help? What else should I take or what should I take on my Test day?

Test is on August 1st, 2010.

I chugged down 2 of them before my test... It made me jittery but I felt like I could think faster  Don't really recommend them though.

Yo Ibraiz, you might want to test that drink before test date. You never know how your body will react to it. If it works well then use it on test date. I wouldn't do something drastic that I haven't tried before, you might have to pee (Caffeine = diuretic = restroom) or have a stomach ache because of it....that would be a nightmare.

Get a good 7 hr sleep and a nice breakfast that won't get you sluggish with all that grease. A cup of coffee and you're ready for battle. Bring a few snack bars and a drink to refuel during 15 minute break. =D and good luck!

yeah, thats a good point. like they always say, you should take your tests in the same state you studied in.

Actually, 5 hour energy is an anti-diuretic. That's one of the reasons why I drank them.

Does it work well in comparison to other Energy drinks like Rockstar or Monster? I drink Monster on Test dates...that works for me. The 5 hr energy drink is anti-diuretic? Isn't it full of caffeine?
I'm curious to how they made it anti-diuretic. Maybe I should try it.

Nah it's made of like 10000% daily value of Vitamin B and some caffeine, and some taurine and some other stuff haha.

I don't like monster or rockstar because it makes want to go to bathroom 🙂

I think they all have similar effect, but I think 5 hour energy drink just makes your metabolism faster temporarily instead of stimulating your CNS like how caffeine does.. Just my speculation because Vitamin B plays a big role in cellular respiration and metabolism. But probably just placebo

I think Ima try to drink it from tomorrow and see how it works. I just thought about taking those over the counter multivitamins. That might help too. I don't drink coffee, I barely drink soda. I usually drink water or juice. I don't rely on caffeine at all. Coffee sometimes makes my stomach upset lol.

I have tried those and they seem to work fine for me... but like one the of the poster mentioned.. each body reacts differently.. so definately try it before the test day....

Actually even i am planning to doing that and would probably start drinking one everyday a week before the exam...

Most of what I've heard is it gives one increased focus/cognitive ability.

There are 0 calories in these things--so as far as providing you with en energy directly---no. But as someone else said, they may aid in other processes that yield energy.

I have always wondered...if you only had 3 hr of sleep the night before and used the 5hr energy drink... will the drink tax your body...in the process of facilitating processes that yield energy. somehow I think it will increase heart rate and make the body work harder than normal..and with fatigue that could be dangerous...no?
