Anyone know what 6-year programs have the most general surgery in thier curriculum? Which ones award a 2 year gen surg certificate?
UConn does 18 months, 2 year cert.

Some programs do sign off on 2 years for licensure requirements. Not all, but some.Thank all! My state is req 2 yrs to be medicaly licensed
Even If you go somewhere where you only get 1 year of ACGME general surgery, you can still be licensed in a state requiring 2 through a waiver.

Program dependent. Depends on the relationship between your program and general surgery, and what the general surgery chairman decides.
