Sorry if this is repeating anything already posted here. I was just wondering when MCAT scores will be uploaded to AACOMAS. I got them sent from aamc on 5/27 and they still haven't been uploaded to the application. Will they appear after I submit? Is this a situation where I should actually call AACOMAS?

You have to update AACOMAS with your mcat results yourself. It is different from amcas. The information on how to go about doing this is on the AACOMAS instructions manual.

Make sure you also added your AMCAS ID to the AACOMAS app under the "mcat section"

I have already added my ID number in the MCAT Section but my scores are still not appearing.

You may need to call AACOMAS. I had the same issue after trying to send my scores twice. When I called the guy pressed some magic button and my scores appeared when I refreshed the page 🙂 I think it may have had to do with the fact that my full middle name is listed on my AACOMAS app, but AMCAS only has my middle initial. I didn't realize this until later though. Oops.

Does anyone know if a paid research fellowship would go under work experience, ec's, or awards/scholarships? I think I read somewhere to put it as work experience to signify that it was paid, but I wasn't sure.

It's paid, work experience.

A few things to remember. Some schools will limit how many updates you can make to them so make them count. If letters are not sent in exactly with the name as it appears on your AACOMAS application they may not be added, some schools have applicants with the same name, alot. For some letters must be on school letterhead and signed so be sure to tell your writers this in advance. Getting letters later can take a long time and can delay schools reviewing your file. Also, Interfolio is not secure so find out if your letters are in correctly. Just because you submit through Interfolio, if not on letterhead some will not accept and you can waste alot of time. Virtual Evaluations is the only secure system, meaning applicants do not have access to it at all, as only the school can access. Applicants can add materials to Interfolio. Check with your schools to be sure.

I'm asking because one of my LoR writers said she wouldn't be able to complete mine until early July. Also, how quickly do schools expect you to complete secondaries?

Sorry if this has been asked but I couldn't find it. My app has been returned to me twice marked undeliverable. I checked the error message and they are saying that my semesters I have entered are either out of order or missing. The problem is it is for my masters program that was from Sept. 2013 - May 2014. It consisted of 4 terms (4 quarters). When I try to enter them into the app, there is no option for multiple terms, instead it's just summer, fall, winter, spring. But I took two terms in the fall and two in the spring. How do I enter this?? Thank you so much!

I had a problem with mine. Sent them twice and it still didn't show- apparently because I made an AACOMAS account under a different login than my Interfolio account I automatically had 2 AACOMAS applications since Interfolio=AACOMAS. I called and it got fixed.

I was wondering the same thing. I don't want to wait too long to submit secondaries and my letters won't be ready until early July as well.

Try just putting both fall terms under fall and both spring terms under spring and combining your terms. I'm not sure exactly if that will work though, your best best is to contact AACOMAS.

Supposedly, people have received secondaries within a couple weeks. However, you can always wait another week or two before returning them.

Isn't it supposed to be 2015? Also, everyone around is saying there application is verified! My transcripts were received 25 days ago and I am still "Current: processing". Also, I cannot make any changes when I press " colleges and coursework" and my GPA is not showing anymore. 🙁 Sooo confused

Relax, your app is being processed right now. You're in the same position as everyone else barring the few people who submitted sunday.

Question about LoR:
I had all my LoR's sent to my pre-health advising office before realizing Interfolio existed. Should I have my
pre-health office send all LoRs to Interfolio so that Interfolio can then send them out or just have my pre-health office send the LoRs to the schools?

Would like to know this as well.

What you're seeing is normal.

If you make ANY changes to the coursework then it will have to be re-verified.

Are you trying to add new grades?

Hey guys, I'm probably just being crazy, but I have to ask:

I uploaded my MCAT score and I can see it on the AACOMAS website and all. However, when I look at my pdf of the application, the MCAT section is empty. I'm a little confused. Can anyone clarify?

Thanks. I originally put it under EC since yes, technically, I did not get paid. I will just keep it under EC since adcoms will see it either way.

Is there no difference between taking a course and serving as a research assistant FOR the course vs. serving as a research assistant and then getting course credit for it. Mine was the latter. I had the option to not receive course credit for it as it was a voluntary position.

ok I'm about to flip some tables..Just waiting on ONE measly transcript that I already have had sent twice! First time was a faxed request around May 10th. Called the school when all the others were in except that one. Said it was sent. Called AACOMAS, generically they said it may take a week longer..SO I figure it got lost in the mail. Resent on friday..Still nothing. grr!

Between my Freshman and Sophomore year I took Physics 1/2 and the lab at a university other than my own. I then had the credit transferred to my actual university (I got to MSU) and it shows up on that transcript as transfer credit. Should I list what it shows on the MSU transcript as transfer credit on the coursework section for MSU,? (there's no grade on the transcript, it just shows that this credit was transferred for equivalent courses at MSU plus I've already listed the courses with their grades in the section for the university where i did take it)
Also how would I categorize those courses (exempted, deferred, etc.)?

I have a question along those same lines... do schools auto-reject your app if it doesn't show all of the prereqs done or at least planned? For example I'd need a sociology credit for MU-COM because of their new requirements, which I didn't put on my verified transcripts. Any ideas?

If accepted, you will need to complete another 3 credits before matriculation. Some schools have specific deadlines (i.e. June of matriculating year), so you will need to double check with the school.

I understand your point, I am just wondering if my application will be discarded by MUCOM if it doesn't reflect my intent to take a sociology course. I know that I need to get the credits done, I don't know if I can register after sending in the primary.... make sense?
