acceptances from Northwestern?

if any of us are lucky enough to get in and go to northwestern, i think we should seriously encourage them to make their admissions process more transparent. this is just a little too much for us high-strung premeds. 🙁
 
ummm ... i doubt that. see, in my head, i think that acceptances are automatically programmed to change ...
 
No one gets the regular page and then refreshes it and gets a blue page? I don't think this means anything then if I get both for some odd reason.
 
It says financial aid brochure 2006-2007??
 
I have that brochure on the regular page but when I refresh, I just get a plain blue screen with nothing on it.
 
I tried both Firefox and IE
still no blue page
I refreshed like 10 times in each😱

I was all Ahhh! It's a blue screen, and my fiance was all "The Blue Screen of death". Apparently that is what they call it when they get that screen while playing Halo. haha. He says applying to med school is just like playing Halo. haha.
 
This will probably just fan the flames and I hope no one takes offense to being "called out," but there seems to be a pattern.

I, junqu, Ladyfingers, and dr1228 all got an early status change and now see a blue screen.

CubanDuc, premed, and headred got later status changes and see nothing new.

Not that we know either way, because blue could equal we're getting locked out or getting invited to second look.

What about for the person who gets both? Haha.

They're obviously updating something today (tonight) because this is what my status page says now... (I was in the November decisions)

i think the blue screen is good news. i for one know that i totally phoned in my northwestern interview, and i'm not getting any new changes.
 
it makes sense then that blue = good ... it indicates that your webpage was signalled to change.

ugghh...add me to the list. Late status page update and no change. Not good news, I think its probably second weekend stuff! I'm curious what people who were accepted in november have. Anyone know anyone that they could wake up to check?!

EDIT: Just noticed NovemberWhiskey's post above.... Guess the november people won't be of much help
 
Regardless of screen color, I think it's time to start drinking heavily out of our purple mugs.
 
On second thought maybe the screens are turning blue in the same order...hah
 
i quit. it's time to sleep. i think they changed status decisions around noon last time...i'm going to try really hard not to look again until tomorrow afternoon. good luck, everyone....get some rest.
 
Whenever I use IE 7.0 I get blue when I refresh. When I use IE 6.5, I get nothing different. It might be a server issue maybe? Who knows anymore.
 
blue screen with ie7, nothing with firefox, i think it means nothing, hopefully there will be a hint on our status page tomorow with the second look weekend info...

Now I'm getting the blue screen but only when I refresh. There are no links or anything though.
 
I have a feeling someone will have the 2nd week info...I hope I am wrong since i don't have it.
 
Ha, you were right kevin, they do seem to be changing color in sequence. I'm back to the original message now.

I second that.

I also want to petition to STOP obsessing over your status pages until someone has some legit information. i.e. a letter in the mail, a status page that says you've been accepted, here's second look info, etc. I feel we may all stroke out if this absurdity keeps up.

Edit: No blue screen for me. Same message as yesterday, decision by March 8.
 
My page is a blue screen too. I didn't have a chance to check last night, so I don't know if it just changed or what. This is so ridiculous:scared:

Yeah, I know I am. It's just that every time this thread pops up to the top of the forum I get excited thinking it's going to say something worthwhile. And then it doesn't. And I get sad. And cry in my corner. I hope nobody is watching.
