I thought they said half get in as well....
How big is the class? I remember 170 for some reason...is that right?

Great, sounds good. Does anyone remember the odds? 400/800 interviewers or something?
350/~700 straight out acceptance. 10-15% rejection. About 50 people have gotten off the waitlist last year and the year before...
Those odds aren't too bad at all! I guess we still have to beat them, though 😉
Good luck to all!
Yes, there's ~170 students, but only ~120 of these spots are open nationally. The rest are students who were pre-admitted when they were accepted to Northwestern as undergrads.

. . . . .That I compiled the stats of everyone who reported them on SDN. This is what I came up with:
Status Change: (40/?gpa), (33/3.86), (41/?gpa), (32S/3.68), (34o/3.83), (35R/3.65)
No Status Change: (24/"high"gpa), (30/?gpa), (41/3.83), (37/3.86), (42R/3.89)
It looks like it is much better to be in the Status Change group, but it could just be random. Unfortunately for me, I don't have a status change. Good luck everyone.![]()

Good detective work.👍 I don't really see how you can draw any conclusions from that list though. Although the 24 is very low by Northwestern standards, they have accepted at least one such applicant in the past. http://www.mdapplicants.com/viewprofile.php?id=5028 This is the only one I found on mdapps, but there could be more.
Any other mail news from Chicagoland people? I live downtown, 4 blocks from Feinberg but won't be able to check mail 'til tomorrow!
mine just changed to "There has been a decision on your application. You should receive a letter by March 8."
I interviewed in October and live in the suburbs of Chicago. Nothing in the mail yet.

I'm starting to think that it doesn't mean much either way though. Pages must be changing as the mail goes out...
yeah I think you are right, it has to be as they send the mail out. I think we are all (especially myself) reading to much into the order of the status page changing.
yeah I know man it sucks I cannot wait until it is over no matter what the Northwestern decision is. Right about now I simply want to know what that decision is so I can stop checking my mail lol. Good Luck to you!I hope so, I am just worried that acceptances go out first and a late status change might not be positive.
Oh well.........
Gosh this process is poo poo👎
yeah I second that.i dont understand why they could'nt just let you know on the status page or by email. this snail mail business is annoying

Well junqu, you were the first one whose page changed to "decision made" so I'll be waiting for you to keep us updated on any additional information 🙂
nothing in the mail.
