Hi can any one tell me that acid fastness is determined by
teichoic acid
mycolic acid
lipid or waxes in cell wall

because of their wax-like impermeable cell walls, so how much it stains is determined by that ...no?

The high mycolic acid content of certain bacterial cell walls, like those of Mycobacteria, is responsible for the staining pattern of poor absorption followed by high retention


guys lets make a rule..every answer that someone gives needs to be suppoeted by refrebce,,this way we know that ans is correct and people wont be mislead.. i read alot of q that people ans wrong..what do u say?
 
i read in decks n it says it is lipids n waxes but other micro reference book gives it as mycolic acid so which is to be followed
n i really appreciate your help guys
