oral medicine by D.wray and J.Gibson.Both of them are publications of curchills and livigstone.they should be available in australian book shops.

According to mc Cracken : round bur for occlusal seat and inverted cone for singulum rest so E can be the answer? Am I right?



2-An irregular shaped void on the surface of a gold cast would indicate that:

A. A fragment of investment had been carried into the mould
B. Air carried into mould
C. Burning out of wax was inadequate
D. The powder/water ratio for the investment was too high

According to odell P:50: irreghular voids are b/c of
turbulent flow of the alloy so option C.Burning out of wax was inadequate can be the answer or not?

i sat the oet exam on 29th march and for all of u worried abt it, its not very difficult....go on the oet site n order the dentistry book which comes with 2 listening cds, 4 reading passages and some writing hints...its not got a lot of matis just a guideline...

regarding the writing part we were asked to write a letter of referral to an oral surgeon for advice for a pt who required an extraction of tooth 36 who was on warfarin therapy.

i hope this helps for people sitting the june oet exam

I am interested in forming a team of ADC desperado to gather in a serene place in Sydney to approach systemically, practically and explicitly all aspect of clinical assessments (cd1, cd2, c3) by ADC. The group may consists of anyone who has passed OET, appeared for part I but giving clinical (part 2) next year as I myself giving part 1 in September.
The idea is to share and contribute in accumulating dental materials, dental equipments, books, and other critical information to simulate practical workshop, including intensive preparatory viva voice sessions similar to evident clinical examination format and experience twice a week initially and as we get closer to deadline more time and effort should be put in. It is essential to build up confidence and appropriate, proficient method of answering viva voice according to Australian standards. Be a constant reminder about the importance of syllabus completion and improvement of shortcomings.
It is obviously vital to gather the necessary knowledge by yourself when you begin, learning about the various components and making sure you have everything you need to cover every eventuality can be very daunting, and help and support from those who have pursued the same path is invaluable.
I would really appreciate any comments for an improvement of above notion to its actualization and be connected.
I started to think ahead as this may require loads of planning and adjustments before it may even exists.

i am not too sure about the licence part as the rules keep on changing but before taking OET u have to apply for assement....u will need lot of money till you are done with your part-2
for assement $ 525 approx
for OET $ 475 approx
part-1 $ 925 approx
part-2 $ 5500 approx
