Hey guys,
I've been on SDN for a few months now, and one thing that hasn't changed is the amount of MD vs. DO threads out there. Even though the webmasters for this site have said that they are not tolerated, they still exist in many shapes and forms and tend to get nasty, personal, and serve as a way for people to insult each other and not help, which is ultimately the point of these forums.
I came across this link from the U.S. Department of Labor. I hope all of you will read it and realize that the rumors are true, M.D.'s and D.O.'s are equal and they're the only two degrees that allow you to practice medicine and surgery in this country. This is obvious to a lot of us, I know, but being a 22 year old future medical student, it's an issue that pre-meds starting out are still unaware of.
