Throwing together a game to run before the madagascar game with @kaydubs. The Theme TBD, because of time constraints this is a 12/12 cycle game with an 11 max. Game would start 9 a.m. Sunday 5/30

Though I'm a bit confused about why the cycles get shorter as the roster gets longer. 36-12 with 10 people seems dreadfully boring. Is it because people talk too much at the beginning?

Probably because the game can only last too long. People need to die faster if there are more of them

I'm hoping before the game runs of we're under the 12/12 cap we could vote, because especially with fewer people might like a 12/12 game over a 36/12. But I'm a WWh0re for WW so I'll probably play anything.

Feel like maybe I should spare everyone preggo-rage!cray but probably won't.

I was thinking I’d have to convert my game to 12/12 if there’s really 30 people. lol he game would last like a month no?

I have an answer but it’s long and I don’t feel like typing on my phone but TL;DR is what pip said depends on how much of a bloodbath the mod wants

Specifically re: Roster length and anticipated number of cycles

The longest possible game for any length is the number of cycles it takes to reach a 1:1 parity. This gamestate would result from all but one wolf voted off and all the villager misvoted. A roster of 30 means 28 deaths, at 1 death per day cycle and 1 death per night, two per total cycle, thats 14 days max).

If you're working backwards (like in this situation) I have 10 days (5/26 to 5/4) as my maximum. If we do the reverse thats 2x number of cycles (determined by length of cycles

Now your variables are extra death abilities. If I wanted the game to end faster I could give the wolves extra kills on nights, throw in vig kills for day or night cycles. Every two extra deaths knocks a cycle off your total

personal preferences:
I'm not a fan of just having a big roster and killing them off, so I try to avoid extra kills just for the sake. If I need them I'd rather build them into the game and make them have a purpose so I'll do something like in PeC where the wolf extra kill was contingent on them finding the specific villagers it would work on

Totting is spectating. The tot chat PM is always a lot of fun :)

IIRC, the origin of it being called totting comes from spectator —> tater —> tater tot —> tot.
