My girlfriend has a tempurpedic and I am in love with it. It's much much better than any spring mattress I've ever had. But it's hard to justify spending ~3K for a bed I will only use for about 4 years. Do you think it is worth the investment. The amazing thing about this bed is that I wake up well rested and refreshed with less hours of sleep. What do you guys think? Any alternatives?

Go to a mattress store and choose after laying on them. People's bodies and the bed that make them comfortable vary widely. Also, why would you only use it for 4 years? Can't you just take it when you move?

Sleeping is a good investment. Tufts and needle is also a good mattress and cheaper. Voted #1 on amazon.

Costco's got some memory foam mattresses for around $700, that's what I'm getting

Sam's Club as well. Most mattress places will have something similar for a fraction of the price. Find any mattress factory type places in your area and you should be able to find one for $700 or less.

Dont listen to these others guy go for a Tufts and Needle mattress, starts at 350$ and you can have a 30 day trial. Its voted #1 on amazon.
Do it and you will not regret it.

Thanks for the help guys! Haha I was thinking a monthly payment of about 100 for about 3 years was worth it but probably going to get one of those you suggested or an ikea bed. A guy can dream though right? Those tempurpedics are something else. Honestly hated going back to my bed after the sleep i got.

I have to say, I was looking for a new mattress not long ago and the store brands were much more comfortable then the actual Tempurpedic brands. The extra money was really for the name. Head over to a mattress store and try some out and see what you think. Some family friends just bought a memory foam mattress, full size. They said it was $250 and it was VERY comfortable. I've slept on it for 3 nights at various visits and I like it as well as my more expensive bed 😀.

Or take a gap year and work during that time to save up for a tempurpedic lol.
