From what I've heard (and I've certainly asked around) Fedex will leave a note if you aren't home to arrange for a good delivery time over the phone. I don't know if they deliver on weekends or how late into the evening they deliver. Also, I think that how many days it takes Fedex to deliver it to you depends on how much priority they put on the letter. I live in Norman, which is two hours from Tulsa, and I haven't received anything yet. So maybe tomarrow......... but now I'm not really expecting a Fedex letter, cause I would have expected to get it by now. It should be faster than snail mail right (mostly a rhetorical question)?
