I was just wondering if there are any people on here under twenty? Everyone seems to be in their twenties and it makes me feel young 🙁. I am nineteen (but I will be the big 2 0 in less then two months!! 😍) I am just curious if there are any other youngins like me.
 
No but I was 20 when I applied my first time (21 now). So I was kinda close at one point in time.
 
Oh I am not applying yet. I can't apply till October of 2011 because I need to finish the pre-reqs. I was just wondering if there are people who are my age around here too. That's all. I am not a super genius or anything applying at age 19 (I wish! Haha!)

P.S. I'm 23. Just in case I confused anyone along the way. I mean, after figuring out that david is my age and that nexx is a boy, I'm frazzled. Haha.

19 til the end of the month. I'm already freaking out along the lines of "my life is 25% over and I haven't DONE anything with it!" 😀
 
Yes, I will be 35, this year.

And, no offense taken. There are a bunch of us non-trads floating around.

I know! But I am so excited to be twenty and can FINALLY stop being referred to as a teenager!!! GAH! Whenever someone refers to me as a teenager it just makes me want to grab a stick and do this!-:diebanana:

Sorry, I have always wanted to use that banana whacking icon, and haven't found a reason to use it until now. Lol.
 
Aw, I miss being a teenager. It was an excuse to do stupid stuff. Now I have to be 'responsible', 'mature', and 'adult'.

Oh well. I'll just be cleverly disguised as a responsible adult.
 
i was 19 when i started following this forum, if that counts for anything! i'm only 20 now... almost all of my friends are older than me, so i am feeling young right there with you!
 
i am 20, but was 19 at the time of turning in my apps. i also am one of the youngest out of my group of friends. i don't think 20ish is particularly impressive.

:laugh: I just read that other thread about the gal not sure if she wanted to go to Murdoch and nexx saying he wasn't female...I had no idea either! :banana:

Nexx being a male kinda surprised me too for some reason.

How old did you really think I was? 😕

And is it the "dirty hippy" thing? Because at worst I would consider myself quite a clean hippy. To be fair though I do drive around a sketchy 40 year old vw bus on a daily basis. 🙂
 
Poochlover - Ditto! Not just the hippy comment, but an overall picture formed in my mind based on your general attitude in posts. Oh, and that van down by the river comment, for some reason. (As if you had to be old to quote Farley??)

I'm 20 (21 tomorrow), but I look like I am 17! When I first started volunteering at the emergency clinic, I told the tech there that I was 20 and she looked at me kind of weird so I told her "Ya, I know, I look like I am 17." Her reply was "17!? I was thinking way younger than that, but let's not go there..." So maybe I don't even look 17. It is so annoying, I wish I could look at least somewhat near my age.

lol i can sympathize... im 21, but look about 15... 🙂

I'm 21 and got asked to show ID to purchase a knife sharpener, which you have to be 16 to buy.

And alcohol...they stare at my ID for at least a minute trying to find where/how I falsified it.
 
Lol, this is awesome.... I don't even want to think about all the personal misconceptions floating around this board! I know I've formed more than a few completely off perceptions of other posters... oh well, you know what they say when you assume... 🙄
(and I thought Nexx was a girl too, sorry Nexx!)
 
I'm 20 years old (21 in May) and I applied this cycle. I'm finishing my undergrad degree in 3 years so that's how that all worked out. It really hasn't mattered much except for when I go on interviews and can't rent a car! 😳

I can sympathize, too... I'm 22 and people seem to think I'm 15 or 16. It gets old, doesn't it?

True story: We were at a family reunion in 2007, and a distant aunt started talking to me (21) and my younger sister (then 17). She thought that we were both in high school and would not believe that I was the older one or that I was a senior in college.
 
Got carded at 21 for a lottery ticket (18, and the only one I've ever bought FYI) and when I expressed surprise at being asked, the (rude) attendant told me I didn't even look 16. People still think I'm in high school sometimes, but it's getting better. 🙂
 
I'm still 19 for a few more months. So now that we've established there are a good number of us youngins what should we talk about?
 
I've actually had the opposite problem. People think I am older then I look. You think that would be a perk-which sometimes it is-but not always. I've had a few guys in my past show romantic interest until they realized that I am much younger then they thought. Haha!

I am still 19 here until June, so don't feel quite so alone. Are any of the other under 20s or just turned applying in the next cycle?
 
I was with my mom at Kroger last week and a man running a booth said to her "Ma'am, would you like to register your daughter with the missing children's network?"
Next day, I went to Kroger alone, and the same guy asked me "Ma'am, do you have any kids you'd like to register with the missing children's network?"

GAH! Im not sure exactly what this is supposed to mean, but I hope you're not thinking of it as a race to get in as young as possible! Late teens/early 20s are such a GREAT age to explore, try new things, travel, learn about the experiences of others...what impresses me is when people challenge themselves to really live, at ANY age.

yeah, seriously, i'm turning 21 in a month in a half, and i'm really excited to NOT go to vet school until i'm 24 so that i can get a break from school and go do fun stuff like bike across Africa or South America (haven't decided which), and hopefully go travel more.
 
Haha. Willow trees are pretty, but they have spiders in them a lot, and if you are bad when you're young and there's a willow tree in the yard, you know there's a switch waiting for your backside.

I always wondered if anyone on the forum had the same birthday as me! We could all post our birthdates and see if anyone else has the same.

September 14th here!
