Yes, I know there might be a few other procrastinators out there. I submitted AMCAS on July 29th. They will have to wait at least another week before they get my transcripts. It was not like I wasn't doing anything.. I submitted my apps for Texas and finished up secondaries. But still, I am the latest person I know. If AMCAS really takes 4-6 weeks from the time they get my transcripts, it is going to be September before the schools even see my info.

It takes awhile to complete TMDSAS, and the Texas secondaries. Besides, AMCAS only gets you Baylor in Texas, unless you're applying out of state.

procrastinator here! I submitted my AMCAS in the 1st week of august last year, I was fine. Don't worry about it.

Yeah, I'm late too...later than you even. I just submitted on the 30th, with transcripts pending. Thanks for making me realize I'm not alone.

It's alright if your transcripts aren't all in yet. AMCAS still sends the schools some initial biographical information and the schools that don't screen will begin sending you the secondaries before your application is verified. So get those secondaries and letters in, and hopefully your file will be complete and ready to go when your AMCAS does actually get verified.

Thanks so much FenixFyre! That makes me feel a little less obsessively worried about this. I will indeed do as you suggest and try to get everything filled out ahead of time.

You're definately not alone...just make sure to get your secondaries done ASAP though. I think if you submit before mid-August you should be in the "middle" somewhere...not early, but not late.

I haven't even submitted all of my AMCAS yet.. 😱 And my TMDSAS is still "processing"... 😡 to add more to this.. I have to take the MCAT in less than 2 weeks 😕 ..so yea, I think I'm in a bad bad situation too. But I'm cool 😎

it's all right neon. I just submitted Aug 1 at 3am!! 3 out of 4 transcripts had been received as of the second week in July, but they "didn't get" or "lost" the other one, even though it would've been received the same day as another one and I got my copy. It was resent today. ick.

You'll get an email from AMCAS saying when they received it.

Last year I took the August MCAT and submitted my AMCAS in the first week in September with 1 out of 3 transcripts. The others arrived weeks later (end of September?) and I started secondaries in October (finishing a one by the end of November!). In January I had my first interview, and by March I was an admitted student.
