Anyone else on interview invitation hiatus?

i need the rush of seeing "interview invite" in my mailbox!!!!!! it's been almost 3 weeks since i've heard anything from schools 🙁
 
OMG, I just posted a couple of hours ago, and bamm! Just got a Harvard invite! I'm still in shock...

yea so i had a steady string of invites in july and august. then for the past two months ive heard NOTHING.

this sucks. i pray that posting this will turn my luck around.
 
Man I got rejected from BU and Wisconsin post secondary! Anyone else get rejected from these places?? I hate this process.

ive been trying to lay off the obsessive email checking, but at the end of the day, when i finally go to check it, i expect my patience to pay off in the form of an interview...and it doesnt. haha, such faulty logic. :laugh:

ive noticed a trend though that i only receive invites when i least expect them. my first invite was the first batch for that school, so i certainly didnt expect it. my 2nd and 3rd invites were the day after i was complete at both schools, so that was unexpected. then the rest have been either on weekends or not during working hours.

i think i will just convince myself that i will never get an invite again and maybe i will get floooded! wishful thinking....

Well, I guess this thread sorta worked for me. After posting earlier, I got an interview invitation alright, just not for med school (it was for a job instead). So, here I am again, asking for one (or twenty) invitation(s) for med school...please? 😀

Called Wake today to check out my status and bamm! We'd like to schedule you for an interview. Yes yes yes yes...finally. The only other school I have an interview at is my state school and that was like automatic.

ugh, it's painful not having heard a peep from schools in weeks. i wish family and friends would quit asking me if i've gotten any new interviews yet.

Does anyone else feel like you can't possibly tell your friends and family just how much you think about getting an interview for fear they will check you into a psych ward?

Seriously, I'm obsessing. I try to think about other things, try to work out and read and watch movies to get my mind off of it but nothing works. Last night, I woke up at 3:30am and noticed my fiance must have fallen asleep on the couch. I went out to wake him up and had to literally FORCE myself not to check my email. Then I laid in bed for another twenty minutes thinking about checking my email...

I'm losing it.

If you think that med schools are sending out emails at 3 am, you really do have some issues...

I got one from mayo that was sent at 3am. no joke. sorry, I probably just created a whole bunch of new insomniacs.

Heheheh. I got their application fee request at 1:30am, and then couldn't get back to sleep for a few hours (I have the emails forwarded as text messages if they include certain key words like "medicine" "medical" "interview" or "application" in them). It's good to know that if I do find myself lucky enough to get an invite, I can look forward to spending the wee hours of the morning bouncing around in excitement.

posted yesterday got my first oos interview Temple this morning I need to schedule the time... but I live in alaska and it is a long way to fly.. should I schedule it late in hopes to have more on east coast to do????? I have 23 east coast schools complete (I know I won't have 23 interviews) but even a few can be expensive help More interviews now please!!!!😍😍:luck:

Is it just me or was there only like two interviews offerred in our small SDN cirlce today? With this trend we may have to start bumping the interview threads. Hopefully, they are just gearing up to shower us with multiple interview offers on friday.

Yea 7 weeks since my last interview invite... This is so frustrating.

I don't believe in the supernatural but this thread is seriously challenging that. 2.5 weeks no word, post, and the next day interview offer from BU.

Posting once more in the hopes of netting another one. I'm going to refrain from abusing this power in case the thread has a limited amount of mojo or something. I may have to call upon it again one day.
