Be grateful - our mail carrier went out on disability several YEARS ago, and the route has been staffed by workers AFTER they finish there regular routes. This means we get mail delivery after 6, AND some days, the mail just doesn't come because there is nobody to bring it. Complaining does nothing - grrrr...

do you live in Chicago by chance? That happened to me the last year I lived there (2000-2001). I had a conversation with my proxy carrier that went something like this:

Me: It's odd that we haven't had any mail in three days.
USPS: Not really, no one delivered it.
Me: Was it a holiday?
USPS: Kind of. No one wanted to deliver your mail.
Me: Do you mean no one wanted to deliver mail to S. Indiana St. or no one wanted to deliever my mail.
USPS: What's the difference?

I ship UPS. Brown does a lot for me these days.

Of course I wasn't waiting for acceptances/interviews. That must be excruciating!

Wow baseball, what an improvement in your MCAT scores. Congrats. You will hear from Iowa in a heartbeat with those stats. I interviewed there on Oct 3 and still not a peep.

Shy, I am soooo sorry about Albany, but you don't want to go there anyway. How many times have you heard someone say "I have a good friend in Albany?" Not often I tell and there's a reason for that. 😉

I am supposed to hear something from Ohio State around 11/2....whether it is an acceptance or a "deferred decision" which I guess isn't the same as a wait list, at this point anyway, but will be just as excruciating. I don't think they will shoot me down with a rejection just yet. But man I am keeping my fingers crossed for an acceptance!!! I would really like to have a reason to do a happy dance!

I don't have acceptances because I've only been on 1 interview. I have two coming this month, but my invites so far have only been at schools where I have some special connection, whether it being a in-state school or a pseudo-instate school or a school I attend vicariously through my med school friends. Anyway, I'm worried because I haven't gotten any invites from other schools, and I've been complete for SO LONG!! It seems like the august MCAT'ers are zooming right by me, and my file's just sitting there...waiting to be picked up and held.

Thanks Crazy. Normally I am my usualy jovial self, but I have to admit that I am feeling pretty down today. I have only had one interview, so I am only expecting one reply. But I can't even articulate what would make me feel better (save an acceptance). I don't want the false hope posts, I don't want the 'it's still early' posts. I just want some head nodding and glass tipping on behalf of all of us I guess. i guess it is also frustrating that I am basing happiness on a letter or lack thereof. That's not me. I am not myself right now and it's freaking me out.
