My Golden Retriever is still missing. I was directed to a posting on the Radio Bloomington Pet Hotline that had this:
Monday aft 02/21, approx 4:20p: 2 dogs wandering south of Woodrig Rd, east of Hendrix Rd, west of Capodice Rd. 1 small black dog, 1 larger golden retriever or similar. Paused when I whistled but then got on their way into the timber. Black dog leading, GR following. No other info available as they were too far away to be seen well.

This behavior describes my Andy. He was about 86lbs when he disappeared and had a copper colored, coarse coat. If anyone is up that way, knows where this area is located, and can find him, there's $500 in it for you. I posted an ad on craigslist and will post some pics this afternoon as well. Don't have them on my work computer.

I don't live in the area, actually had to google it to see where you are talking about, but I was wondering if it would be ok if I posted Andy's story to my FB page and then asked my friends to cross post. I think it would reach a lot more people that way, and I am friends with lots of "doggy" people who are pretty good about spreading this sort of thing.

I was going to suggest Facebook as well. Things go viral in a matter of hours, and a lot of times people are itching to help. There was a vet who passed away here in Ohio, and his son was left with 52 Thoroughbred horses that he wanted nothing to do with. There was a Facebook post that was put up saying these horses needed homes or else they'd go to auction and within days the person put in charge of rehoming them had thousands of phone calls and the horses all got homes by the end of the week.

So it's a good thought if it's something you're comfortable with.

Willing to spread the news in central MI as well. Lots of people commute in the tri-state area, so hopefully I can be of some help.

posted to my FB page, I hope this helps. Will spread in working dog forums this evening after class

Posted on mine as well. I'm in MO and go to school with a lot of people from the STL area and different parts of Illinois. Here's hoping!!
