Anyone on Hold at Rush (for interview) get an email yesterday or today?

the last meeting was yesterday for deciding on interviews. Did anyone get an invite by email yesterday or today? Please post!

Im planning on calling Rush for the last time tomorrow to check out what is going on! Cause this is so frustrating.

Nothing yet NUgirl but your right the meeting about Hold people was yesterday, so I guess that we should hear about it today maybe as late as tomorrow. Do you know how many people are getting off of the Hold list.

i have heard nothing from rush about my hold for interview status. how do you guys know the meeting was yesterday?
 
I just called and she said that they are still meeting for about the next week about people on the HOLD list. Wed was NOT the last day. There is still hope, however small it is.
 
Hi, I just called the office too, and of course....the usual "youre still on hold." And then I said that wasnt the last meeting for hold people Wed. And she said no it's not. So there is still hope!!!!! I dont think next week is necessarily the last week either.

Oh also, I heard that they were reviewing randomly. so you guys, don't think that you are at the bottom of the barrel, just unlucky, that's all.
 
im with you guys too. still on hold. got rejected from loyola this weekend. i didnt get a chance to call this weekend, so thanks NUgirl for posting about whats going on this week with rush. im still unclear though, was last week (week of apr. 22nd) the last week for holds or is it this week (week of apr. 29th)?

The secratary didn't make it clear whether this coming up week would be the last week either. the last time I called, she said that last week was the last week for hold people. And on Fri she said that it wasn't. She also didn't say that this week is the last week either. So I don't know what's the deal anymore.

When does Rush stop interviewing? Cause if it's in Mid May, I assume next week would be the last week for holds, but Im just guessing on that one. I hope that we hear soon though!!! The wait is so frustrating! I just want to hear from them, with ANY kind of news.

Hello guys, I was on the hold list uptil February, I got off the hold list and interviewed in March, and now I've recently been waitlisted. I love Rush and I hope it works out. For any of you fellow Holds/waitlist, the committee plans to interview uptil the 2nd week of May. Also, my friend who was on Hold received a phone call to interview and went the next day (last week). The wait list for post interviewers will be ranked May 15. Hopefully I'm in the top quartile. Anyways, good luck to you all

Hey Guys,
I intervewed with Rush within the last week or so. I was told by people in the admissions office that they hope to be done interviewing by May 8. Hopefully you guys will here something real soon about getting an interview. Keep your head up guys!
 
Well, since May 8th is the last day of interviews, and its May 1st today, then this week would have to be the last day to be considered for an interview. But I'm not optimistic anymore about being pulled off hold. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

Hey NU Girl,
You never know, especially this year. I've heard of many school having tenative deadlines and as the deadline get closer, it sometimes gets extended or pushed back. Like I said in my earlier post. They were hoping to be done by May 8, but it's not definite that they will be.
 
This for all the students on hold at RUSH. Did any of you get accepted to any other schools? If yes, where? My applicaton is on hold at RUSH. My Gpa is 3.6 and I scored 30 on the MCAT. Also if you list your stats. Thanx.
 
calcium boy. I'm glad to see that you have hope. Rush is great but I've given up hope.

I'll be going to another great school though - UIC.
my stats are 3.31 and 30 - 12/9/9 mcat
 
Hey does anyone have any new info on Rush? I'm on the pre-interview hold list also and just sent out two more letters of rec and a letter of interest yesterday. Don't know if it's too late. Hope that it isn't... <img border="0" title="" alt="[Frown]" src="frown.gif" />

got the letter today....rejection, as expected. imtiaz, i am so sorry that you got rejected also. i know you were hoping for rush. it is their loss. who else are you waiting on? i have been pulling for you through this whole process...you seem like a cool person, i love the quote at the end of your signature.

Hey sorry to hear about all your rejections to Rush. I haven't gotten mine yet, but Ill probably get it Mon since theyre obviously being sent out now. I wish you guys luck with your other schools! :)

theres only one school left that im waiting for pre-interview. MCPHU. i interviewed at UIC and meharry and am waitlisted at meharry. UIC has me on hold or something for re-review in mid-may. i also interviewed MD/PhD at UIC so i was expecting to get a rush interview. just goes to show nothing is concrete in MD admissions. i just feel like this is an indicator that i will be rejected at UIC too. :( from what ive heard its easier to get in rush MD than UIC MD. if rush rejected me, what does that say about UIC? its not very good at all :( oh well. i might have to apply for 2003, for a 3rd time. good luck to everyone else :)

I just got rejected from Rush too.
 
Ughh, where is my letter? Everyone seems to have heard except for me, and I know that I am rejected. I just want to hear SOMETHING, anything at this point. I want to know that I am rejected without having to wait anymore and I want to be able to move on with the other schools and forget about Rush. Now I really wish that I had called on Fri. Sorry, had to vent a little. :wink:
