App review held up by committee letter

So I've finished most of my secondaries. They're in, paid and ready to go.

I made sure my CL writer got all the necessary materials before June 1. My letter isn't in yet (but apparently will be this week). This is what's holding up my application review. How much does this put me behind in the reviewing process if I've turned in all of my secondaries within one week of receiving them?

This is def the most crazy premed I have ever felt.

You're okay. Don't stress too much about it. You'll be marked complete before August starts most likely.

We were told they'd be uploaded between mid-july and mid-september and "don't worry, not being in the first round of interviews won't hurt your chances".

Not sure if I believe them, but I need to in order to stay sane!

Mid july, definitely not... Mid september... that starts to hurt a little.

Sigh. Okay. It is just a little frustrating to have done this so meticulously and have to wait on someone else even two months later.

Annnnnd mine was uploaded today. FYI, I informed my advisor I was getting secondaries and finishing them. Don't know if that helped, but couldn't hurt.

Our office told us that under no circumstances were we to contact them about the status of our letters and that they would be uploaded when they were ready. Very friendly.

My last letter was uploaded yesterday. I ran into my old advisor last Thursday and she told me it was written and just needed to be uploaded. It must be a pretty complex system to take damn near a week to upload a document!

I am also being held up by a committee letter (my AMCAS was verified on 6/11, I'm done with most of my secondaries, etc.). It is driving me insane. I had my constituent letters all in by THE END OF APRIL and all the other documentation they wanted by MID MAY. We are also told not to pester them and just to accept that it will be around the end of July.

Yeah. My school almost lost 2 of my letters. Finally was able to schedule an interview in June. Then said they wouldn't write my letter until they had my verified AMCAS. After that I was told 4-6 weeks. We hit 4 weeks this Friday. At this point I am submitting my secondaries when I feel they can't get any better because it isn't like they would look at them anyway without my letter.

It is just so frustrating.

I had the same issue as well. The letter was eventually submitted in late July and everything went pretty smoothly. Just worry about what you can control like the quality of your secondaries.
