Does anyone know how long it took the BOPs last year to get back to people?

I skimmed through the discussion from last year and it seemed like they got results right around this time last year. They also said early December in the USA jobs app email. So I’m really hoping it’s any day now

Weird rejection from Atascadero because they encouraged me to apply for a job there but don’t want me as an intern...I found this odd/confusing:

“The Internship Committee at DSH - Atascadero sends their best to you as you progress through the internship application process and go on to interview at various sites. We would also like to take this opportunity to point out that the competition for our very limited number of internship positions is exceptionally high. Assuming that you continue to pursue a career in forensic psychology, we would encourage you to consider applying for a psychologist position at DSH - Atascadero after you have received your degree. Department of State Hospitals-Atascadero currently hires unlicensed psychologists and provides the necessary supervision for individuals to obtain their post-doctoral hours and qualify for licensure within the State of California.”

Wow, it's in poor taste to advertise themselves in your rejection letter imo

Do sites ever really rank phone interview applicants higher than those who interviewed on site?

Yes, it happens. I, personally rank about 80-90% based on the application, and only about 10-20% on the interview. So, if someone who requests a phone interview was highly rated prior to the phone interview, they'd generally be right around the same spot as the pre-interview rankings.

I think about 30% of my rejections when I was going through the match process said something along these lines, and I appreciated it because otherwise I might have been reticent to apply to work at those sites later even though I am a competitive job applicant. Where I currently work, I have more than one colleague who didn't get an internship interview but were then hired on right out of their internships at other sites. Trust this, stressed-out internship seekers: you are in the worst part of the whole process - it gets so much better in the future!

Anyone has any idea about whether Montefiore will actually notify this week and what their interview dates could be? It is the last site I am still waiting on, so I am dying to know no matter the outcome to finally move on to just focusing on all the crazy travel logistics.

Other than the fact that this was the week of their notifications last year (at least two days of invites), with rejections a couple days thereafter, and the below statement regarding interviews found on their website, I know nothing:

"Applicants remaining under consideration will be notified via email and offered an opportunity to visit Montefiore Medical Center on one of several interview days, which typically occur in the first two weeks of January. There are a limited number of slots available on each day and these will be filled on first-come, first-served basis."

They rejected me on 11/20 and sent me another rejection today hahaha. Just wanted to make sure I knew I was rejected, I guess🙄

Southwest consortium did that same to me and I was so excited because it had been two days of silence and then I got a response even though it was a rejection I was just happy to be rejected and know but I was like dammit I already have this information and so I got super sad for a second!

Yep, that's about the same info I have as of now :arghh:

I received an email from the Help Group simply saying they were still reviewing apps and to hang in there. It was a very nice email. And they made the subject line: "The Help Group Internship: Still reading your application!" or something like that, so there was no mini heart attack when reading the email subject.

That's very nice of them to keep you posted like that.

Congrats! Afraid to ask but about what time did they send that?

Can anyone confirm hearing something from Denver Health Child & Adolescent Psychology or the HRSA Child and Family Track? I would like to cross them off my list since I haven't heard but only am seeing Adult track here. Thus, would be great to know if anyone has heard anything on the child side either way?

Thanks!

This is interesting to me - I guess I assumed interviews weighed (or at least could weigh) heavier. Does this preclude someone lower on your list moving into a top spot or does it simply mean that someone needs to significantly surprise you (in either direction) to substantially change their standing?

Has anyone hear from University of Kansas Medical Center Underserved Population Track? Thanks!
