Also, their site visit policy is a little confusing. Do they want us to request a visit once the appi was submitted, Or by "completed application" are they referring to applicants who are offered an interview.. thoughts?
 
Mass email from Napa State Hospital saying that they are pushing back the notification deadline to the 19th due to issues with paperwork.
 
Did anyone hear from Nevada Psychology Internship Consortium? Their notification date was today...

Based on the fact that it goes on to state that requests will be reviewed by committee based on goodness of fit, etc., I assume that the request would be prior to their decisions. The piece about "after your application is complete" seemed pretty explicit and preceded any mention of reviewing applications. Then it also states that if interested, "please contact me" - this would be obvious in terms of contacting if you were expected to wait until an email (the email would likely say to contact). But in all honesty, the ambiguity is likely to cause people to act in both directions.

Okay, that's what I was thinking but I keep second guessing myself. This whole process is making me overthink EVERYTHING haha. Good luck, I hope you hear from them!

Rejection from SLC VA. Three more sites to hear back from! Like many of us, ready for the notifications chapter to close and stop having my heart race every time I see a new email...

I included a paragraph in my cover letter requesting an interview but starting to wonder if that was not the right way to do it.

Honestly, who knows. That's actually a good thought, I just assumed that the "contact me" meant something different. I guess we will all find out eventually. Or whoever was invited for a 01/04 interview might be able to provide some insight.

Idk what to do. I have an interview in Kansas on the 10th and an interview in Mississippi on the 11th. There are no flights anytime after 8pm (the interview ends at 5, there’s a two hour drive to the airport, I’m leaving an hour for security and traffic but still may not be enough). I can’t even find a flight back to the state I live in; there’s 11 and 17 hour flights which I’ve never heard of before but also wouldn’t be back home until the 12th, and I would miss yet another interview... any advice would be great. Ive never had problem booking flights before like this where they had nothing after 6pm. I’ve used several different websites and had others assist me to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.

I don't believe they "offer" it to anyone, I came across it in the brochure and it says you can ask for one if you'd like one. I am hoping to do at least one site visit, if not two 🙂
 
any news from the institute of multicultural counseling and education services for anyone else?? Crickets over here...

Can you greyhound to another city that might have different flights? I’m doing that for one of mine.

I checked every city in Kansas and there are no flights that would make it in time, but that would have been a good option.

Anything in Oklahoma or Nebraska? Just trying to think about nearby states

Also, both interviews i went to so far were very understanding of people leaving early to catch a flight - might be worth asking?

Okay so the choices include asking for a different day for the interview, asking for an earlier departure time than 5 so that you can make it to Wichita, asking for a phone/video interview, or deciding if you would rather interview in larned or Jackson. None of them are particularly great choices, but that looks like what the choices are for this location.

They have to be used to this happening at that site and have a contingency plan in place, reach out to the TD and ask what your options are at this point. Fwiw, I went down a huge rabbit hole and mapped out a path from larned to dodge city to Denver and then the only flights from Denver were like 15 hour flights.
