Congrats! What time did you hear? trying not to sink into hopelessness yet...

Has anyone reached out to sites they were rejected from to inquire about why they were rejected? I was talking to my prac supervisor and she told me how when she applied she decided to reach out since she had to go to phase two and sites actually asked her why she didn’t reach out earlier! I didn’t think this was something we should/needed to do but just wanted to get other peoples’ thoughts on this.
Following with interest. Thanks for asking this. 👍

Interview Dates Offered: 12/14, 12/15, 12/16

FYI: Prior to this invitation I had only received an interview invite and four rejections. I was feeling quite disappointed despite the one invite, as the rejections came one after another, with one being from one of my top choices. Today, I saw my email and remembered that it is still early.. We are all competitive and things will work out one way or another. Sending virtual hugs to everyone in this process.

which specialty track? peds, early childhood, ASD or trauma?

Has anyone heard from any of the child tracks at California Pacific Medical Center? I know other tracks went out but didn't see anything about either of the pediatric tracks.
I haven't heard from the two child tracks I applied to. A friend of mine did receive an interview invitation two weeks ago. I'm not sure which track specifically, but it was a child track.

Has anyone received a rejection from Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford? I think I remember seeing that someone received an invitation but I haven't heard anything. Perhaps I'm just waiting for rejection at this point?

Since most interviews will be held virtually, what are people's thoughts on dress attire? Would it be best to dress fully in a suit and tie, or does a nice dress shirt suffice? I know if I had an in-person interview I would dress in a suit and tie, however, I'm wondering if I would feel a little funny doing that over zoom (but I'll get over it if that's the norm) 😆

Congrats! I applied here as well but haven't heard anything yet....I know someone who is currently an intern there and she loves it! Keeping my fingers crossed
check your spam folder! I received an interview from Lovell today (11/30) and it went to spam. good luck!

I've watched a couple of internship webinars and they're recommending full business attire just in case (heaven forbid) you have to get up for some reason. I know I will be playing it safe and wearing a suit 🙂

Had my first interview yesterday and wore a blazer/nice shirt.... and my leggings 👍🏻 #noregrets

Also think about the confidence boost that can come with a suit! I always wear a blazer when I need to take myself seriously 😉 I’m a couple years post internship, but even for my virtual job interviews this year, I made sure to wear something similar to what I’d wear in person to really get my head in the game!

I would like to reach out for my own sanity. Just wondering how to do so without sounding desperate!

I don’t mind addressing these questions with applicants. However, this is an extremely busy time of year for training directors, so please bear that in mind when asking for feedback. For example, at our site we have applications and interviews nonstop from now-March for our internship, externship, and postdoctoral programs. It helps if you have a specific question or want to know about a specific portion of your application. Good luck to you.

Have any internship sites reached out to you asking for an APPIC match number? My DCT stated that we did not need to apply for the match until at least December 1st.
The recommended date to register is December 1. After December 31 You’ll need special approval. The NMS website has all this information posted.

Same here 🙁 onwards and upwards!

Sorry to lurk this thread as a non-applicant (currently on internship), I just have nothing to obsessively check while waiting for post-doc interview offers (GOD PLEASE COME) so I'm lurking your thread obsessively.

I totally thought this said, "same here 🙁 cowards" as in calling the sites cowards for rejecting you. and i laughed my ASS OFFFFF- LOVEEED the big old energy coming off of it. this is totally how i'm going to frame my rejections.
