Got an email from medical college of Wisconsin that said they were not able to offer me an interview but should an interview spot open up, they would still consider offering me an interview. Has anyone else gotten an email like this or heard of this before?
Do many sites follow this protocol? It means you are likely in their 2nd tier. 1st tier = automatic interview, 2nd tier, just missed the cut, 3rd tier = will not be ranked.
Thank you! Also waiting on UIC (neuropscyh).
Good luck 🙂Also waiting on UIC (neuropscyh).

I am waiting on a rejection from UIC since it looks like they let people who got interviews know already, but haven't heard anything. Really hoping that I'll still get an invite but I know that the odds are low. I also haven't heard from UNC yet.Has anyone gotten rejection emails from Wisconsin SOM, Duke, or UIC?

ahh okay. I was invited to move forward with the usajobs app by FCC Allenwood and their brochure also said early December, so I figured I was probably just being impatient, but thought I'd ask anyways. Fingers crossed that FBOP interview invites start rolling in for us! good luck!I haven't yet, wondering the same thing! The site to which I applied said they would be in touch again sometime in December, so probably not unusual that we haven't heard yet (I hope)!
you and me both!! good luck!!I have not and am anxiously awaiting responses!
I don't necessarily know if it's normal, but I'm pretty much in the same boat. I have only heard from 2, whereas people in my cohort seem to have heard from a lot more. I'm hoping it's just because some of the sites I applied to had later deadlines. Fingers crossed for you and good luck! Don't give up hope 🙂Is it normal at this that I still haven’t heard from any site? No rejection and no interviews yet.
Several of my friends are still waiting on responses. I wouldn't worry too much -- just make sure you check your spam folder!! I had an email from a site that got filtered out into that folder. Is it normal at this that I still haven’t heard from any site? No rejection and no interviews yet.
If you mean Wisconsin School of Medicine Public Health, I have not heard anything from them, but I'm assuming a rejection at this point.Has anyone gotten rejection emails from Wisconsin SOM, Duke, or UIC?
Also has anyone not in the forensic track heard from UNC?
TIA!!
I'm in a similar boat. I received a rejection from one site so far but nothing else from the other sites I have applied to. Hoping we hear something good soon!Is it normal at this that I still haven’t heard from any site? No rejection and no interviews yet.

Same! LOTS of email checking over here - hang in there friends! For some reason I thought they would all start pouring in today and its been dead silent for me!
If you all haven’t seen it yet, I encourage everyone to read the latest email on the MATCH News list. It’s almost as if they’ve been reading this thread 😉
The advice about when to worry and when to contact sites if you haven’t heard is super important (as well as the part about not engaging in a doom spiral if you haven’t heard when others have). APPIC and the internship sites have given us all the information we need. Revisiting that information periodically when anxiety spikes would be immensely helpful.
I was also curious about whether this finding would hold up to the potentially unique COVID impacts. I feel like from my casual observation on here and with peers that some types of sites (hospitals, bigger name institutions, and integrated care) are getting a huge number of apps. Feels like if that's the setting you want you may need to apply to more/get more than 6 interviews/have some backup settings to be safe. It would be interesting to see this study done again for this year with correlations broken down by site type or some sort of a name recognition index.
As someone who is in a program in an area with no real options for hospital-based practicum (though I managed to have inpatient and integrated care placements), the process of trying to get into doing a hospital based internship has been disheartening due to what feels like an especially competitive year.
Thanks! It was received at 4:34PM EST.Congrats! About what time did you get this email? I know someone who applied and is waiting to hear back. Did it seem like the general track emails also went out?
Same. For other folks, they're likely sending out invites soon.Just got a rejection from MMHC
