Hi!

So when I apply to dental school (or when kids apply to med school), my school does this thing where they append all of your recommendation letters with a cover letter that the Dean writes. Unfortunately, I've found out that it is sent in late July! Which means that even if I submit my application this week or next or anytime this June (I was hoping to submit it as soon as my DAT was done and over with, the last week of June), it won't matter since my recommendation letters won't be processed and sent until late July....

Does anyone know if this is considered late?? 🙁 I heard that earlier is better, and that some schools interview beginning August??

Thank you!

Some schools may interview late August, most start in September. Applying in early to mid August isn't the end of the world, but it may cause you to miss out on interviews at certain schools. Unfortunately you have no other choice, I would just apply when you can and hope for the best.

My school does this as well. As mentioned before, there is nothing you can do.

What may help you get everything in quicker is if while you are waiting to submit your primary, if people post their secondary questions for your school, you can start answering them so you can submit the secondaries as soon as they send it to you.
