I've found a few programs I really love. Is it a bad idea to apply to the program before attending Midyear? Is that frowned upon?

Are you going to Midyear? If so, I'd just wait. You can start filling stuff out but just wait to submit. If you're not going to Midyear, go ahead and apply if you have everything ready to go.

I would not hit submit till after midyear. I don't know that anyone cares what order you apply in. Our RPD doesn't even start looking at the apps till after our deadline. You also don't want to get to midyear (assuming these aren't local programs) and decide a program rubs you wrong.

FYI, some places start looking and offering interviews prior to the deadline so I definitely would try to get them in ASAP but if you're going to midyear wait until after to be more sure if you want to apply.

Thank you! Yes I'm going to midyear. I actually visited this program last year as well so I know I'm going to apply to this one atleast. I appreciate the advice =)

We are a program that starts looking at apps before the deadline as well. I usually recommend about a week before the deadline. Start getting your letter writers and transcripts together now.
