Is it even worth applying to places like Brown, Tulane, Boston, Mt. Sinai, if student was not part of any of their Early Assurance, Combined BS/MD, FlexMed programs? For example, Mt. Sinai accepts 49 (41%) of their incoming class from those. Thanks in advance

Of course! That still leaves one-half (or more) coming from regular admissions. The odds of being accepted at any specific school suck regardless, which is why we all apply broadly.

Excluding schools that are otherwise good fits, just because they have direct entry programs, does not make a lot of sense. Some schools have a class size of 200+ while others are ~100. Would you not apply to any of the smaller schools just because they have a lot fewer available seats than larger ones? Same thing!
