They are verifying them and processing them as soon as possible. I think they have begun releasing applications to medical schools.

They certainly have. I got a message from a screener school that they had my verified AMCAS.

When did you get verified? 🙂 I was away for a few days so haven't been keeping up with the thread.

I hope I get my secondary soon. (my one and only for now, LOL). And I know I'll get a secondary - MSAR shows for my school that there were xxx number of in-state applicants (don't remember the actual number) and xxx + 2 got secondaries - no freaking clue how that can happen! LOL

I don't think they're even close to the 21st...a few people from the 19th have been verified but nobody after that who wasn't EDP.

wouldn't really surprise me if they get july 3rd and 4th off, or that a lot of people take the 3rd off, meaning if you aren't verified by friday you are in for quite a wait. as you can see i am feeling extremely cheery and optimistic today.

i was just verified today. i submitted my application on the 5th. it was ready for review about 10 days later (took forever for them to get my transcripts). glad to be verified before july.

I submitted EARLY (~1:00AM) on the 19th, and I'm still not verified. My transcripts were received about a week before I submitted.

I submitted on the 21st and haven't been verified yet - SO, how did I just get a secondary from George Washington? Maybe I don't understand the process completely....

Also, I just posted this frantic message in another thread, but I'd like to try it here - hope that's ok.

I went to a college on the quarter semester system for one year, then transferred to one on a standard semester system. I took two quarters of physics with lab and no more. I just now realized (because apparently I'm an idiot and so is my pre-med counselor) that my 2 quarters of physics does not fullfill the requirement for med schools. What do I do????? I've already submitted AMCAS. Shoud I try and take something now? and if so, what? an upper level physics course? I think I have 6.6 hours total, so I guess I need 1.4 hours more?????? Will schools reject my AMCAS because I haven't fullfilled the requirements??

I'm freaking out. Thanks for any help.

Most schools just require that you finish the pre-reqs before matriculation - not before application. I'm taking three more pre-reqs over the next two semesters before medical school would start. But I've already applied.

I did put mine down as future classes - I don't know if you have problems or not because you didn't do that.

I submitted at 10:54 PM on the 19th... the have my transcripts... but I'm still "Ready..." Fingers crossed for being verified by the end of the month!!

yay! i submitted 6/19 around 11:15pm and i'm officially "under review" now! let's see how much i messed up haha...i keep thinking i probably didn't designate my freshman, sophomore, junior, and senior years as they would have wanted. but who cares, i'm just excited to see progress! one step closer to med school 😀
