Hi fellow Army HPSPers,

The handbook says all requests for reimbursements must be submitted under the CDW tab in MODS. Am I missing something? Does anyone else see the tab?

I remember having to print out a form and mail it somewhere last semester, but I have no idea what the address is. Does anyone know?

Thanks!

Yo,

So first start by going to the MODs website http://www.mods.army.mil/medicaleducation/

Log in then scroll over the General Info tab. Then that should pop out a menu scroll down to HPSP Forms then the link is the second to last. It says "MEDCOM Form 678-R - Health Professions Scholarship Program Cost Data Worksheet (Claim for Reimbursement)"

Fill that out have your registrar sign it and then mail it to
Defense Military Pay Office, ATTN: HPSP,
1706 Stanley Rd Bldg 2263,
Ft. Sam Houston, TX, 78234-5085

You should check out that tab that says Bulletin Board. Has lots of good info.

Best of Luck

Happy Holidays

on a related note, what is the max you can get reimbursed....im talking textbooks, equipment, etc..

im sure its been discussed before but do you guys have any tips on how to get the most of what we get

Well from what I gather as long as you don't go over 4k you shouldn't raise any eyebrows. Also, make sure you turn in your receipts within 60 days of the original purchase. I don't know how strict they are with this rule. Again I would say the MODS website is your best bet for figuring out the caps for each individual item. MODS website> General Info tab > Policy Handbook > CH 7
I'll let you read CH 7 to get all the details as to what the max reimbursement you will get for each individual item. I think the Med specific stuff is in chapter 7-6. As far as I know book cost don't have limits as long as they are "required" for everyone. Also check out section 7-5 its got a list of all the stuff they wont pay for. This is only Army specific I have no idea how it works in other branches, even though I am pretty sure all three branches should have the same limits and what not.

One thing I haven't figured out is how to get reimbursed for health insurance if your under some else insurance.
