This message was brought to you by SOV....
Life in SDN city has been proceeding really quite normally these days. It has been a long time since the gruesome murders of some of SDN’s finest, and honestly, no one even misses them anymore. The daily lynch mob has become more of an entertainment spectacle than anything else. Sort of like one of those fake pirate shows you stop and watch when you are in Las Vegas. Everyone knows no one ever really gets killed in those things (how quickly Lissarae slips their memory). Maybe we should just close up shop and move on to WW301, Dying of Boredom game? But, I am contractually obligated to continue this game until the network cancels me, and although SDN may have revoked my forum privileges (inadvertently?), I troop on through the phone. So let us see what happened on this “peaceful” night.
We start our night in the ArrowCave where Felicity is monitoring all the happenings at SDN city, trying desperately to figure out why SOV (and Lupin, and probably others who didn’t check in yesterday) can’t access the communications system. She is about to dial up the Arrow to come protect her, cause she feels a little spooked, but then decides it was nothing after all. She feels quite safe to poke around a little. She is doing a routine check when she discovers an interesting fact. Someone has been re-routing item distributions throughout the city. Not stealing them from their rightful owner’s, but redirecting them for one day for someone else’s use. She does a little bit more digging and finds that it is Isabel Rochev, head of acquisitions. That makes sense. Still Felicity is curious to see how she does it, so hacks into the CCTV, and using facial recognition finds Isabel at Queen Consolidated, where she is partnered these days with Oliver Queen. Felicity is satisfied that nothing is amiss and was about to turn off the monitor when “SPLAM,” red blood is everywhere… As the blood drips away from the camera lens, Felicity can make out Isabel dead with an arrow through the center of her heart. Felicity sees someone in the background, but the camera is too dirty from blood to see more than a blurry shape.
Jojo, Isabel Rochev, Head of acquisitions, and a regular villager who could direct one item a night to a player other than himself is Dead. (game mechanism side note: this is not a thief role… no one lost their ability to use the item, he just determined who got it the next day).
Felicity is stunned to have seen a murder in front of her eyes, and there is nothing she can do about it… She just cries into her scarf, turns off her computers and goes home.
Meanwhile, in a sketchy part of the city Sara Lance is hiding out in her abandoned clocktower, just trying to laying low for now. Unsure whether she should come out into the open and work for the Arrow team, or stay here, or continue her evil ways as an assassin. She has done a good job of trying to avoid notice, but perhaps too good a job. Someone has taken notice of her, and finds her to be irresistible. He goes to visit her in his clocktower, he tells her of the great plot that has been concocted to “save” the city. He invites her to join the dark side of SDN, become a wolf, and live in infamy forever. Sara is torn. She knows if she joins up she will get an extra kill. She also knows though, that there is a spot waiting for her in the arrow team if a certain arrow team member were to die, she would be there to take her place. Could she be a double agent, acting like she still loves Oliver (she does), but betraying him at the same time? Should she stay with her principles and never be converted. Or is she being a coward by saying no, and taking the easy way out…. Death. Our visitor is patient, and waits while she thinks it over. Suddenly she has made her decision, she loves Oliver and will never betray him. She says “My answer is … “, whilst simultaneously swinging her leg in a round-a-bout kick, but the visitor has already left, able to tell just by the tension in her body that she was about to attack. “What the…” Sara is not often surprised, but she was now, and she is about to be again.. “BLAT”. Sara is shot in the forehead, apparently by a sniper. She never knew what hit her.
LetitSnow, Sara Lance, ambiguous villager who could have gained ability as either a team arrow member or a wolf (or both) has been killed. choosing death over conversion. I guess LIS really means it when he says he hates to be converted.
Sara would have been a very dangerous wolf, and also was a very important backup for team arrow. Now she is wolf meat.
No doubt the news of 2 deaths this past night are spreading through the city like a winter cold. No one wants to get it, but there is no avoiding it. No more SDN soap opera. This is serious business. Someone is going to pay!
Lynch deadline is 7:45pm. Normal night deadline of 6am.
