Based on last years thread all the RCSI GEM applicants received their offers on the same day so I suppose that would mean that if you have not received a offer today you are rejected? Did anyone get a email for RCSI waitlist?

I am not a gem applicant , 5/6 year programs are released later.
 
For the people who got accepted to RCSI GEM today, would you mind sharing your interview date and location. Thanks in advance!
By the way for anyone waiting to hear back from RCSI, my admission officer told me that RCSI sends offers throughout this and next week for GEM yet the threads from 2017 and 2018 entry suggest otherwise.
 
They also have to release the 5/6 year offers , which they have not started yet.

I am aware that they have yet to release 5/6 year offers, but my admission officer said specifically that RCSI GEM offers will be sent throughout this and next week.

I'm a high school student applying with a 92% average, and with other courses I am doing right now I am sure I can bump it up to a 93%. I volunteered as a teacher assistant at pre-k, and I'm trying to get volunteering at a retirement home, but I am not sure about that. I applied to RCSI, UCD and NUIG. Do you guys think I have a good shot at getting in?? Thanks.

Anyone knows if RCSI Bahrain conducted any interviews in North America this year yet? Or when is their next round of interviews (in Canada)?

I didn’t apply to it but I know someone from NA who did and had an interview early last week. I think she applied like 3-4 weeks ago.

I just got an offer from RCSI for the 5 year program! Is there anyone here who currently goes there that would be willing to talk about their experience so far?

I tried asking the same thing on the 2018 AB forum but no one replied unfortunately. There is a RCSI student-only forum that we will get access to!
 
How many people admitted to RCSI GEM are planning on attending? I have a DO acceptance here and am frantically trying to weigh the options. I want to do whatever boosts my chances of getting a surgery residency, have spoken to everyone from Atlantic Bridge grads, physicians from Ireland in the States, and residency PDs for both ACGME and transitioning AOA.

It's hard to say. The recent grad I spoke with said everyone in his class did fine and matched back to USA/Canada. The Irish physicians I spoke with all went through this process 20 years ago, so their input, while informative, is not as relevant to the current situation.
 
When do you guys plan on paying your deposit for RCSI? I know RCSI offers us a couple of options on how to pay, but is there any more cost effective method to pay (lose less on the currency conversion)?
 
Any UCD guys from Canada having trouble paying the deposit? I tried to use their PaytoStudy option but RBC aren’t taking my draft.
 
For those of you that received an offer from AB but are choosing to decline, can you explain why you’re making that choice and where you were accepted?
 
For everyone who’s received an acceptance to RCSI, the class pages are up on Facebook! If you go to the RCS-eye website, you can find them under “Let’s Connect!”
 
Has any RCSI 6 year program applicants received an offer this week? Seeing that the GEM and 5 year results have come out, I reckon the 6 year offers will come soon.

I have not heard from them yet , but it seems like they tend to send offers by the end of March. I think you have a acceptance for RCSI but I can guess that you prefer UCC due to the cheaper cost of tuition? Until when will you wait to pay the deposit and accept the offer for RCSI?
 
waitlisted gem, hopefully something comes of it since its an unranked waitlist
