Auburn CVM c/o 2022 Applicants

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Im OOS and still have not heard anything back about an interview also. Should I email Tajuan or does anyone know what I should do?

It wouldn’t hurt to contact them. I’m not sure if there is another round of interviews but one of my friends never got any correspondence and turns out they never received her payment even though she got a confirmation email. They never even reviewed her application because of it.

I received an email saying I am missing an animal nutrition course. I have one and when I emailed back they said it doesn't satisfy as it's just small animals. Is this a new requirement? They had no issues accepting this for me last year when I had an interview. Additionally, a friend of mine has not received an email and this is the same course she took.

I had the same problem because I took a small animal course instead of one that covered small and large. But they told me right before the campus closed for the holidays and now I am having a hard time applying and registering for the course in time for the spring semester. Did you have any luck?

I emailed him and he told me as long as ai take it before fall it would count. So I said I would register for a summer session class. He told me last year it wouldn’t have satisfied either but that they just must’ve not told me because it just needs to be taken before I start.

Does anyone know why they want us to bring unofficial transcripts to our interview it continues to perplex me...

This is my worst nightmare I don't want to talk about my classes :bang: I have a 3.4 average...I'd rather talk about something I'm actually good at...
But thanks for the info @futurerescueDVM! 🙂
It’s not that bad. It was actually super quick. If I remember correctly from a year ago she only asked about my last semester

Good to know, my point was it could be entirely random and I just listed some examples off the cuff. 😉 I have no clue how they group people.
I don't think it's based on last name. A friend of mine from the same undergrad school as me applied this year too and my last name is B and her's is S and were in the same comittee.

During my interview, they brought grades up one time and moved onto the next topic 1 minute later. I got in, and my GPA was lower than yours. Good luck 🙂

Thank you! And that's awesome! IS or OOS? 🙂

Hi everyone! Does anyone know when in state applicants can expect to hear about interviews? I'm trying my best to be patient but I'm going a little crazy

I don't know when we are supposed to hear. I looked back in my emails and last year I had an interview invite by January 23rd, so hopefully it will be soon.

Has anyone in state heard back yet? Starting to freak out a little bit!!!!

If it helps my interview is Feb. 8th which I believe is the last day. They probably won't send decisions until everyone (OOS) is done!

For OOS people or current students how is campus? The pictures look beautiful 🙂 And is it at all possible to gain IS status after 1 year of OOS? Thanks!

Edit: I know residency status changes are so individual so a simple yes it works for some or no it never works is perfectly fine 😉

I'm a current 2nd year. If anyone has questions feel free to ask. Best of luck to those interviewing this week.

The vet school is on it's own campus about a mile from the main campus. The only time I ever go to main campus is to the gym or to football games. Auburn has a nice small town feel but it still has a mall and several restaurants and other places to shop.

Was looking back at old threads for interview tips and now I'm freaking out after seeing everyone's GPAs who got in...ready for Thursday to be over already! :nailbiting:

Don't worry, I worked full time all through undergrad so my GPA is pretty low compared to others. But they look at your application as a whole so hopefully us lower-GPA people have a chance at a spot in the 2022 class!

How soon after our interviews should we expect to hear back about whether or not we get accepted, denied or waitlisted?

I'm honestly not sure when OOS finds out. IS is usually notified about 1 week after they finish interviews.

Hi guys! OOS here. Does anyone know last day for interviews? Had mine Tuesday and I'm anxiously waiting. I don't think they mentioned when we would hear back by...

Does anyone know how many OOS were interveiwed and when we should have a decision for OOS?

When I interviewed, I interviewed on February 3rd and got my acceptance call on February 15th, so it's not a very long wait at all.

Are any OOS successful applicants willing to share their GPA stats? I looked at last year's thread and most OOS acceptance I could find was 3.7 and higher. I do not fall into that category...
Any insight would be appreciated 🙂

Definitely not in that category, but at my interview today my two interviewers stressed they are looking for people who are less concerned about perfect GPAs and more concerned about learning and applying material. So maybe there's hope for some of us!

God I hope so, Auburn is my dream school!

Hi! I'm new to SDN but this is my first cycle applying to Vet school and I had my Auburn interview yesterday 2/2 with the spirit committee OOS. I'm so nervous to hear back. I don't have 3.7 or above like most applicants so I am crossing my fingers!

Hi! I'm new to this as well. I interviewed last week. (Valor committee) I was super nervous also, but once I stepped in there, it was all conversational. They truly made it feel like a welcoming atmosphere and we talked about being "well rounded" Don't stress too hard on not having a 3.7 or above. What I gathered was they truly look at everything outside of GPA. Hope that helped!

I don't have a 3.7 and interviewed with the valor committee too! I'm part of athletics and have an on campus job and they told me I had a really good GPA. I wouldn't stress to much about it. They really look at your over all work load and how you balance all your responsibilities.

I was so shocked that they didn't even mention my grades once. I thought the interview was really relaxed, especially for a person that has anxiety like me haha. But I just hope it was enough because I didn't get in to my instate and I love Auburn. I think it would be a perfect fit for me.

Yeah they didn't mention grades in my interview either! My GPA isn't the best, so I thought they would for sure bring it up!

I applied with a very average GPA and worry about it constantly. The only thing my interviewers mentioned about my grades was actually congratulating me on them. They, and the entire faculty I came in contact with, were absolutely SO kind and encouraging. They truly care about making sure you have a great experience. I wish everyone luck! Auburn is an amazing school and it’d be a dream to be able to be a part of it.

They said either the end of next week (15/16th) or the very beginning of the following week. I'm OOS from AR and absolutely loved Auburn

Hi everyone. I have my interview today! Can someone tell me how long the tour was? I’d like to go before my interview but just want to make sure I have enough time to get to it.

Mine was a little over an hour

How do we look up when our interview time is? I fear I may forget it or do something stupid...
