Average time to get an interview post secondary application?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
Go to the school specific threads and read on there. It is way too difficult to determine average time. Some receive an interview the day after completion, some wait until near the end of the cycle. Too many factors to give an accurate answer.

I have recieved a total of 7 Interview Invites and I submitted about 10 secondaries, havent been rejected yet!
- BCOM: 6 days after submitting it, after careful thought declined the interview
- CUSOM: 2-3 weeks after submitting secondary, interview november
- ACOM: 2 weeks submitting secondary, interviwed last week, accepted this week
- NYIT: About a 3 weeks after submitting secondary, interviwed late september, should hear back in 2 weeks
- LECOM SETON HILL: About 5 days after submitting secondary, already interviewed will receive in 15-20 days
- LECOM BRADENTON: About 1.5 months after submitting secondary, interviewing next week
- TOURO NEVADA: About 2 months, but debating scheduling interview, since I already got acceptence

Waiting for NOVA (dead silence been 2 months), Edward campus (dead silent), KYCOM (been complete since 8/26)

That makes me a bit worried. I submitted 11 a couple months back and I haven't heard anything yet. I am actually thinking about submitting 4-5 more.

Your stats play a large part in how fast you get your IIs.

If you're competitive for my school, ~6 weeks.

I've been "under review" at schools like LECOM and TUNCOM for a couple months now. I have low stats (LizzyM = 62) so I'm thinking that I'm probably either getting a silent rejection or am on an unacknowledged hold. Do you agree?

I suggest you call the school. TUNCOM had given me the pre-interview rejection via email within a month of submitting in a past cycle. So just make sure to understand what the current situation of your file is.

Well, I submitted my secondary early August, got an email saying my application was complete a couple weeks later and that I should expect to hear back in a month, then I got this email on 10/7:
"Your application is currently under review. Please anticipate six to eight weeks for the review process prior to receiving official notification of the next admissions decision. You will be notified through email if you are eliminated or are invited for a campus interview. You do not need to call or email the department for any other status checks. We will contact you within a month from this email."

They actually contradict themselves in the email (6-8 weeks and then one month...) but I guess I shouldn't call for an update.

Your app is in a pile with some 5000+ others (my school will probably go over 6000 this year). The staff are slowly making their way down to yours. The lower one's stats, the longer it will take to get that II. remember, the cycle can run as late as April/May.

Hence, a little practice for medical school assessment:

Patience is a _____.

oncogene

tomato
virtue

It's an oncogene right? Cause 12+ week waits during the med school application cycle have given me cancer.

I thought that admissions prioritizes the applications based on when they are submitted?

A below average candidate is not going to get an interview just because his app came in the first 50.

Schools will prioritize app for a number of reasons; high stats, URM, mission, in-state residents( for state schools), or other criteria.
