Though, STL's post still struck me as strange. I didn't see any posts by Genny that would have prompted STL to call her out in his role reveal, as if she had backed him into a corner and that was the next logical response he could make.

I may be wrong. But I think she may have been the person to callhim out on saying effectively "some of us have roles", and then the digging started on him about having a role and it potentially making him a wolf.

Not only do I think Dy will check, I also think she will determine what meets her criteria and what doesn't. So us numbering our posts would just serve to make her giggle when we numbered a cat gif that we somehow thought was relevant.

I do find it odd that genny basically made STL role reveal. I also find it odd that so many people jumped on him just because he "has an ability". You were all saying "quiet doesn't equal wolf"....but "ability doesn't equal wolf" either. Idk...I'd rather not have you take out someone important in the first day. And I think it's weird that so many people were just fine with doing that.

You all can blame me if you want. I was just trying to encourage people to base a vote off of something other than RNG. I take solace in the fact that at least I got the role part right, so my analytical thinking seems to be working fine. He could be a seer, he could be a wolf claiming seer. I think STL's earlier post about transferring the role to WZ makes sense now, since it seems he will be surviving the lynch.

That is a lame vote. Not because it is for me, but because it essentially is a late "I don't want to be seen as voting for the seer, but I'm not going to vote for any of the people actually in the running."

It's a cop out vote, and therefore sketchy.

I hadn't voted for STL for any reason. I asked someone to pick a number and had voted before any of this talk about being roley came about. I had no time until late last night to read and stayed up an hour past when I needed to go to bed just to get to get caught up. I had thought about looking back to find a tally to see who else was leading but I was barely able to stay awake at that point and had barely processed what was being said. You gave me feels so I changed. I wanted to change it and I'm on my way to work now and won't have time to do/say anything else before close or most of the rest of the day.

Yeah, anyone who voted for STL on the basis of being "roley" when I and several others mentioned that roles could be pretty important for villagers too is definitely now on my list of suspicions. Yes, it's something to vote off of other than RNG. However, you might be lynching someone important to the villagers too, and I think that needs to be taken into consideration.

This is going to be a game about posting style, I think it's good for everyone to reflect on their style every so often. If something keeps happening, maybe there's a reason for it. It seems like enough people get feels on you early that it beats a RNG. I know for me what triggered it this time was the generic posts followed by a defense based mainly on what happened in previous games. I hope this helps for your future WW endeavors.

The short version of why people voted for the top 3 is feels, feels, more feels, and an occasional RNG. Most of the Hayley votes have come in the last page or so, so those are pretty easy to find. My guis reasoning is repeated in the post right above yours. You could use the search function to find the others if you're feeling up to it. There's really only so much to go on on day 1.

If they were going to kill for that reason wouldn't they have first killed STL? Unless they believed he might be protected for the night or I guess that they might get someone with a more dangerous to wolves role...

Is something more dangerous than seer? Maybe a villager assasin, but those usually hurt the village more than wolves, and anyway, I would be really surprised to see a role like that here.

It's curious that both of our dead are next to each other on the roster. Probably doesn't mean anything, but it reminds me of how the roster was (accidentally) constructed in my game (in a non-random way). It's most likely coincidence though.

I guess I don't really know since I've never been a wolf and have only played a few games up until now, but that was what I was thinking. The seer being dangerous, not the assassin thing. I don't really know what to expect as a basic role other than villager and wolf.

Well, at first I felt scared because I thought that was Dy's way of telling me that I hadn't hit the 10 post minimum and that the punishment was no talking on thread for like a whole night/day cycle, like the cold shoulder version of being mod killed.

If they were going to kill for that reason wouldn't they have first killed STL? Unless they believed he might be protected for the night or I guess that they might get someone with a more dangerous to wolves role...

Two thoughts: they were either concerned that STL would be protected (and thus waste a wolf kill), or they were concerned someone would attempt to track STL and potentially see who he interacted with the night he was killed and thought it would be too likely for a potential tracker to see him interacting with a wolf.

There's also a solid argument to just be random and leave STL be. At this point, the likelihood of any random seering event to land on a wolf is very low, whereas wolves can take advantage of a protector protecting STL to kill any villager they choose unhindered and thusly work on weeding out other villagers who may have other useful roles. It's easier to let STL be for now since his likelihood of success is low (despite his idiot savantness) and the wolves can take their time trying to root out other villager roles.

Well I finally figured out what people were talking about yesterday and the posting early what not. I am still not sure why people saw that as suspicious though. When I was reading it I just saw people voting for how long they wanted the cycle to be? At least I think I figured it out.

As far as I'm aware a player can be given a protector role and can select a person each(?) night cycle to protect so that if the wolves were to try to kill them it wouldn't work. I don't know if protectors can ever protect others during the day cycle preventing them from being lynched even if they are the lynch leader though. I also don't know if that role would be included in this particular game.
