Wow! You start today? Things are different here - I start on Sept. 24. My schedule isn't set yet - we have a 2 week shopping period where we can check out classes - but here's what I'm looking at:

  • 1 upper div. bio class (either regarding neural systems or development)
  • 1 upper div. psych class (dealing with language)
  • 2nd year Spanish, 3rd quarter
  • teaching a class in which I train TAs for the bio lab class
  • research

Nothing but Spanish, Calculus, and Chem. This is going to be a boring year! I can't wait for next year when I get into Ochem and some upper level Bio classes.

I wish my school would let me take Weightlifting or some other PE class...you have to be in the major though. *sigh*

you guys take some awesome classes. I wish I could have taken SCUBA or wine tasting for credit.

Well, I figured I needed something to offset all the weed-out classes. :) I have to take so many math courses (I'm counting Gen Chem 2 since that's all it is from what I read) this semester that I'll welcome the break from studying for that stuff...only 1 credit though. Advanced SCUBA next spring and that's 2 credits so better than nothing.

just pay $100 and get a tv tuner. works with a laptop or desktop. then u can watch tv on your PC and record it on your hard drive and watch it later! i'd die without mine.

I start on wednesday (8/22) and I'm taking

Principles of Biochemistry
Manipulation of Recombinant DNA

16 credits

This is after a summer of taking physics I and II (algebra-based):

  • Pathophysiology
  • Organic chem II + Lab
  • Biochemistry I + Lab
  • Medical Terminology

Starts Wednesday, 08/22, and is a 13-hour/credit schedule - but with two labs, which I don't particularly enjoy. I am a senior getting a BA in psych with a likely chem minor, and I'm planning on taking the MCAT later this year.

Oh, my earliest classes are like 11am twice a week, and I have Fridays off. I think I can live with this.

Gig 'em for any fellow A&M kiddies
