this is out of topic, but I have a 8 in verbal 30 overall. How much would this affect my application? 8v,10p,12b,4.0, decent LOR. Any input would be appreciated

has anyone just called baylor to ask them their status? i know this is kinda taboo, but no one is going to rescind an offer because of a call, and if you're not accepted then there's nothing worse they could do anyway? i know that some schools don't mind if you just call.

anyone have anything to say about this?

Yeah both of the med schools in houston have access to great facilities and energetic faculty. My older brother went to UTH back in the day as his top choice out of the Texas schools and loved it. It's much younger than the other UT system schools, but is quickly getting more money and recognition. I mean, c'mon, it's the Houston Med Center!

Congrats to all you Baylor admits and good luck to those of us still waiting!!!

My understanding, correct me if I'm wrong, is that Baylor does a round of acceptances every couple of weeks/twice a month. So I'm figuring we won't be hearing anything again 'til late Oct.

so unless no one who was called yesterday (10/16) posts on SDN, maybe they didn't make calls yesterday. how about as a show of solidarity anyone who gets a call tells them no thanks!! show them to not call us right away! ....

I hope we will all get a call in the next round. What I would hate is to be repeatedly shuffled and end up on the waitlist. That's almost as bad as being rejected (the uncertainty would kill me). Does anybody know approximately how many people they called?
