hey guys, was wondering, for those who did the fall BCPS in last years- when did you recieve your results. I know BPS says couple weeks but not too accurate of when results come out. Anyone here did BCPS fall 2018.. Thank you 🙂

I think I checked the site on a whim last year around 11/27, and the results were posted that morning. They are not posted all at once. From what I gather, the results start coming out around 60 days after the last testing date (give or take).

Ahhhh... lol timing isnt so good hahah- i wish it was earlier so it doesnt affect holiday spirit incase i didnt make it lol..

Has it been consistent every year, same time? I know some ppl mentioned that its always alot less than 60 days
 
How much less than 60 days because the website is currently down... It would be great if scores were posted this early but I don’t want to get my hopes up.

I have no idea thats why i was asking but seems like a desert here lol.. few ywars ago, many ppl used to reply about anything and everything but not sure what happened..

I agree. I’ve been reading the older threads to see when we may hear back. Hopefully later this month, but it would be nice to know one way or another.

5-6 weeks
 
Usually released end of November. Fall 2017 results released nov 26. Fall 2016 was released nov 21.
 
MyBPS site is down so far today. Hopefully, that means that they are updating it with test scores. Such a long wait.

Hmmm mine came up but still says eligible .. not awaiting exam??

It says 'eligible' under status but at the top where it says "Certification app", "You have 1 certification app awaiting exam" is at the end of that.

I've taken two exams before this. BCPS in 2010 and I found out by letter which is the way they did that back then. Received it the week of Thanksgiving. Then I took BCCCP in 2015 and found out on the site 11/23 which was Monday. So if the timing remains the same we should find out this week.

I took ID this time. This was the hardest out of the three. CC was hard but the easiest for me out of the three since I've been in the ICU for years the experience helped. BCPS was my first so that was very hard....but the ID was extremely hard.
 
Wow thats great man! Question, if i pass this one -do u recommend taking others? Are you taking them for your job ? If u dont mind me asking

If it's something that you're drawn to. My main passion is Critical Care and I've always been drawn to ID which I do quite a bit of in CC. After the BCCCP I told my husband I'd never take another one due to the time-consuming studying and working full time....but then BCIDP came along. I figured I'd learn and improve my knowledge base from the preparation. Boy was I correct...and boy did I realize I might have bitten off more than I could chew as they say. At my hospital we do not do any type of transplants and have very limited oncology services so I had to teach myself all of that material. Granted, I've been out of school for years and if you're a student/resident you have that on your side. I didn't do any of them for my job, I just wanted to be better at what I did and improve my knowledge base. Sorry for the lengthy answer...

No dont be sorry i appreciate you explaining that- very nice of you... thats fantastic... i m hoping to pass BCPS- def not an easy exam i pray i pass it... i m guessing you are clinical rph? And are you going to leave all active? Reason i ask is bec many ppl i know say that its too much work to keep up with all of them- is that true?

No problem. Yes, I'm a critical care clinical specialist deployed in the ICU. I had thought about letting the BCPS lapse since, for me, that's a broad one, but then I figured I had put 5 years into it so I might as well keep it. It is a lot of work but I think it's manageable. Right now if I break it down I have 31.5 hours average a year for recertification credits between the two. If I pass ID, fingers crossed and praying too, that will go up to about 46 but that's spread out over a full year. It's really up to the individual to decide what's best for them and how much they work they can dedicate to each one. I don't know if that helps at all. I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for both of us 🙂
 
Aww thank you- i m nervous and hope we both pass... if you do, you ll prob have the most titles i ve seen- if you can maintain it good for you...

Thank you too. I'm a nervous wreck....must have refreshed my BS page 100 times today 😉
I'm fairly certain that I'll let the BCPS lapse if I do pass the BCIDP.
 
Hahah! That is what i do too- but i would be satisfied with one board certification next to my pharmd haha! I may ask you for a donation of that title if i dont pass and you do haha...

Right? We just want to know. Although this should be the norm for us after waiting this long. And yes, I took BCPS

First time and I have very mixed feelings. Honestly I just want to know so I can decide next course of action. How about you?
 
I took it in the spring and didnt pass by few points - was bummed .. i hope i pass this time.. i also i m not sure but praying..
