NYCPM had a 100% residency placement, one of the reasons I chose the school, but keep in mind EVERY school had to scramble some students, meaning that those students were fortunate but ultimately had no say in where they were going.

What you mean had no say in where they wanted to go? I want a residency in NYC is that hard to get ?

All said and done, no. There is a big saturation of residencies in NY, just some that are far more credible than others. BTW you should seriously consider waiting another year and applying again to DO schools. As stated in your other post, you said you liked podiatry because 'your mcat is in the range' and that 'you don't mind working with feet'. I'm sorry but that sounds like 0% certainty for the profession.

I didn't take the mcat yet so I really don't know and I want to go into medical/podiatry school right after college so doing a year of "nothing" is out of the question. I shadowed a podiatrist and I'm currently shadowing a d.o so I would be fine with both professions it's just hard deciding.

Why is a year of doing nothing out of the question? I went to a very good undergrad that was always ranked in the top 35 in the country and do you know how many of people in my graduating class in my major (bio) went to med school right after college? 4.

How many said their eventual goal is to go to med school or dental school? around 20.

Trust me, the average age of first year med students is 24. You have plenty of time.

You need to explore your options. Just by the fact that you ask if there is BEST podiatry school shows that you haven't done due diligence in researching podiatry.
