Biden Out of Race

Remember when the left made a stupid movie 20 years ago literally mocking this attitude?

These people who were beating the anti war drum back then but now are all about blowing up young Russian men are complete tools.

Ukraine is totally within its rights to defend itself.

What does the U.S. have to do with it? This would have been over a long time ago if we hadn’t been throwing cash and weapons to them that we can’t afford.
Ukraine asked for help from the US and international allies, and they continue to ask for help to legitimately defend themselves.

The US and Europe have made a strategic decision to help Ukraine defend themselves, because Russian has a proven and recent track record of invading sovereign nations. So it's either defend Ukraine now or be forced to send troops to defend another country later.

So far, it's been a smart strategic move for the west

I don’t understand the point of that video. Are they implying that Kemp will rig voting machines in favor of Harris?
Haha

I think he's implying that a black ops team will break into the voting centers, turn off the cameras, take the machines and hack them, then return them under cover of darkness. Thousands of them. Somehow alter the paper receipts as well.

But only if Trump loses. If he wins, then it's legit of course. All without a trace.

Must have happened in 2020, not in 2016 though. And only in the races that Republicans lost.

Open and shut case!

We have been throwing money to a lot of things we can't afford. Why Ukraine is where you draw the line? Would you be ok if France/UK/Germany were throwing "cash and weapons" to them?

He and his MAGA people already said that.

All these things you mention happened in AZ, PA, MI, WI as well, but did not happen in FL. I feel like I am living in an alternate universe

The point is we need paper ballots. Do you not support paper ballots?
In my state, there is a paper trail when we vote

When did you realize we need paper ballots... 2016, 2020?

It's hilarious and sad that you keep prattling on about being "anti war" as you call for appeasement, when you're supporting the side that STARTED the war and could END it at any moment simply by going home. You're not anti war. You're a pro war Russian, cheering your aggressor nation on from the safety of a country that is the polar opposite of the Russian dictatorship you support.

It's also odd that you make a reference to a movie satirizing American military adventurism, somehow thinking it's relevant to a war in which exactly zero American troops have been involved.

I wonder if you could make a movie like that in Russia? Oh wait, you'd be imprisoned. You cant even say the words "Ukraine War" without being imprisoned.

But ya, Ukraine should be lucky for the opportunity to give up their freedom to Russian invaders

We already have paper ballots here but still deal with election fraud, denialism, and insane conspiracies about missing ballot boxes.

Meanwhile India is the largest democracy in the world and votes electronically without such drama.

The ballots aren’t the problem. It’s the people and the laws that are.

It’s not difficult. Voter ID and paper ballots. We can make exceptions for absentees but the Dominion trial proved that our electronic ballots are not secure and likewise ballot harvesting proved mail-in ballots are also problematic.

It proved no such thing. And in fact, Fox News paid 787 million for peddling that conspiracy nonsense to it's viewers

So his whole article is based on two assumptions that he states as fact even though he provides no evidence for them and they are not commonly held beliefs

"There were in fact two main U.S. provocations. The first was the U.S. intention to expand NATO to Ukraine and Georgia in order to surround Russia in the Black Sea region by NATO countries (Ukraine, Romania, Bulgaria, Turkey, and Georgia, in counterclockwise order). The second was the U.S. role in installing a Russophobic regime in Ukraine by the violent overthrow of Ukraine’s pro-Russian President, Viktor Yanukovych, in February 2014"

And then he says that the invasion is unjustified. But he basically just says that it wasn't completely unprovoked. Who cares? Rival countries provoke each other constantly. Cyber warfare, election interference, trade wars. Doesn't justify the war in the slightest

So I fail to see how this supports any of your arguments. Or at best, it maybe supports it 5%?

Sachs is (or at least was) an upstanding guy and respected intellectual, but it looks like he just pulled a Turley or Dershowitz wherein a putatively left person sells their credentials either directly or indirectly to the New Right.

Pretty much everything Sachs says in his "Russia was provoked!!!" article is a misrepresentation, as one can see in the fact check below

That’s funny. I don’t recall there being any actual evidence of electronic voting fraud or mail-in irregularities.

You somehow have not only managed to miss my original point but also exemplified it. The voting process isn’t the problem, it’s the people.

Ukraine is not without its own corruption. I think we (in the USA) look at this Russian aggression through a narrow lens of an outsider relying on news media and other propaganda.

While Putin isn’t right to invade another country. He is not without merit to tell the nato powers to stop encroaching and surrounding Russia.

We already saw how the USA didn’t like Cubans aligning in the Russians. Image if Russian join forces with Canada and Mexico. Image how the USA would feel with this encroachment.

There is a reason North Korean also serves as buffer between South Korea and china. Imagine a reunited korea aligned with the USA. The Chinese won’t like it.

True. But if Cuba allies with Russia, it doesn't justify us invading Cuba, Canada or Mexico.

Russian, China and the US are constantly in a game of gaining influence in each other's regions.

They got ripped off. Hillary paid a fraction of that for the Steele dossier.
Yea, because it was a big nothingburger. Those conspiracy theories never pan out in the legal system once you have to actually provide evidence. She just paid a fine because they classified it as legal expenses instead of opposition research.

They are only useful for your monthly Maga newsletter.

But that's the idea, the Republicans come up with a new conspiracy theory, get their maga voters all excited, and then by the time it's disproved , they're on to the next conspiracy. Works well to sucker the voters, especially when they can't run on real policy anymore

Based on these polls does Harris beat Trump?
Harris is going to win not because she is Obama; people just don't like Trump because he is repulsive. Trump has a 47% ceiling and people won't vote for RFK Jr after knowing he dumped a dead Bear Cub at Central Park. Lol. Can't make that s... up.

I like EVs. I don’t like EV mandates. I believe in letting thr consumer decide by offering him/her options. EVs, Hybrids and Old fashioned ICE. For many, a hybrid is the best option at this time because of location or climate.

My point is that he was against EV because his base was against it but since he got Musk endorsement (40+ millions every month until the election) , he is for it now. I do like EV as well.

I am no fan of Donald Trump the man. A huge positive if he loses would be no more Trump and no more Trump in the news. The biggest negative would be Harris moving far far left once she gets into office. The border would be wide open with another 10 million illegal immigrants. Bad foreign policy and massive tax increases. The deficit would likely balloon to 40 trillion by the end of her first term

Are you sure Trump is not going to increase the debt/deficit as he did in his 1st term?

Once Trump is out of the picture, the border bill will pass. Border crossing in the past 2 months has been very low.

Most of us as physicians make 250-500k/yr and paying 2-3k more in tax won't change our lives that much.

What will a Harris Administration try to push through in her first 90 days? Medicare for all? Tax hikes? Green new deal? I honestly have no idea what she will do in office once elected because she was voted the most liberal Senator in 2019. What I do know is this country can’t afford more entitlements and trillion dollar spending bills.

Paper ballots are fine. People can vote however they want. I always use mail-in paper ballots because I sometimes work late on Election Day and it saves me a drive, parking, lines, etc. So I’m definitely not against paper ballots. I do online banking which is also fine. I would do online voting if they offered it.

I dont know too much about her. I am not voting for either.

Medicare for all is something that will happen in 15-20 yrs anyway because healthcare spending is unsustainable.

Tax hikes? Going back to Obama's era tax in my opinion is insignificant as I stated I my previous post.

Not sure what is bad about renewable energy.

Liberal might not be a pejorative term as you think it is IMO.

If you take a poll now, you will see the majority of the county are for medicare for all, $15 minimum wage, family paid leave, legalization of cannabis, gay marriage etc...

In all honesty, I am not sure why we don't have at least a 2-month family paid leave after birth.

Democrats policies are more popular than republicans' EXCEPT for immigration.

When illegal aliens come to the U.S., they want to enter, remain, and work here—and that is the best-case scenario. The border is just as open to terrorists, the Chinese, Russians, and any number of people who do not want to merely work here. Securing the border requires preventing those three things. The bill negotiated by three Senators and President Biden funds and facilitates more mass illegal immigration. It is a disaster for border security.

When you ask someone if they want stuff from the government they say yes; but, when you then ask them to pay for it with massive tax hikes they say no. Renewable energy is great but a trillion dollar bill to speed up renewables or make current carbon energy sources illegal are bad ideas.

I would not use a conservative think tank as my source.

The border patrol union endorsed the bill. That's all you should know and also liberal dems were against it.

You are adding another thing to the equation. Regardless, any tax hikes will only affect the top 10%, mostly the top 2-3% that no one cares about because they think these people make too much money anyway.

Renewable energy will not happen in 1 day at least from listening to the dems. All of them use the word 'transition'. At some point, in 20-30 yrs, renewable energy will be the thing regardless you are against it or not.

I wish Trump was someone like Brian Kemp who truly cares about policies and governing.. I guess I am asking for too much.

I thought we don’t discuss “policy” on this message board. Lol. I’m still waiting for someone to actually debate me on anything policy related instead of these bull**** political theatre debates I find extremely boring.

None of it is possible without building nuclear plants, which is the answer and what we should do.

Too bad the environmentalists killed nuclear after 3 Mile Island…
Perhaps my biggest issue with RFK (environmental lawyer). I consider myself an environmentalist and break from the right probably the strongest on this issue. But He won me on Covid though.

You should just vote for Kamala man, what’s the difference? Honestly.

Between Bobby k and Kamala? How much time do you have? I voted for Obama then trump twice.

No self respecting man would vote for Kamala Harris.
That’s interesting. I voted for Obama twice, Bernie Sanders and then Biden.

My point though was that a vote for RFK, regardless of how much one likes them (which I do), is a vote for Kamala. Just like how my vote for Bernie, like many other democrats across the country, ended up being essentially a vote for Trump in 2016.
