He promised he would be a one term president, didn't honor that particularly well. He passed some significant infrastructure and technology legislation, as well as for climate change (which you conservatives acknowledged in the 2000s until corporations changed their minds). He did plenty of nonsense too. It is not black and white. Happy now? We are going to disagree on specifics, but yeah, he wasn't perfect. Basically everyone would have preferred the alternative candidates.

Republicans have by far increased the deficit more than Democrats since Reagan. Including now when Trump is trying to increase it to $3.4 trillion annually despite simultaneously gutting every positive institution in America.
