Who are at the top of field in research?

I don't have anything specifically in mind but was just curious.

Thanks in advance.

Why? are you planning to brown nose early?
Depends if you are talking clinical hemepath (Elaine Jaffe) or basic science hematology (Staudt) or basic science immunohematology (Kevin Murphy at WashU). What are your career goals?

Going by the folks who write the standard texts is often helpful - the WHO hematolymphoid book has 4 authors

Jaffe, E.S.,
Harris. N.L.,
Stein, H.,
Vardiman, J.W.

Vardiman is at U Chi. Harris is at MGH. LADoc already mentioned Jaffe.

Dorfman is also a big name. I interviewed with Dr Aster at the Brigham and he seemed to know what he was talking about. ;)

To add to the list:

Rob McKenna and Steve Kroft at UTSW-Dallas
Kathy Foucar at U of New Mexico

Well, who are the big names in dermpath? ...again idle curiosity

Dr. Bloodgood is the answer to all these questions...anyone know who that is?

Virchow would be on that list to.
