I want to apply to BU but I am worried about my Toefl score, which is 99 IBT. My part1 87 and Part 2 80. What are my chances please tell me about my Toefl scores whether they are going to consider it or I will have to retake it. Thanks

i think you should apply first and take toefl again and update them with the score...it is better to have above 100...hope this helps.

You have to retake if you want them to consider your application. Minimum Toefl score for BU is 100. You have time as their aplication deadline is next year if I am not mistaken. Good luck!

Thanks Blessme and Raluca for your quick reply but one of my friend told me they have invited a candidate with scores 95-96 in Toefl. I am not sure but believe its true. Thanks anyway. I will apply and update the scores.

No. of years - 2.5 years work exp. as dental surgeon in India; 6 months shadowing in states.

Yes, you said it right! Rolling admissions mean first come first serve basis. Your application has to be fully complete in order for the review panel to consider it for an interview. They will not even touch your application unless its fully complete!

Your complete application means official NBDE scores, TOEFL, ECE reports, notarized BDS degree, official transcripts, 3 recommendation letters have to reach office of admissions at BU (plus your online application).

So, a person with a 85-86 NBDE part 1 score ( coupled with other fair credentials) might get selected if he\she has applied to BU earlier in July-august. A person with a same or even better scores (88-89) might not get an interview call if he\she has applied late in the year (Dec-Jan).
Nutshell...need some good damn luck at that point !

You should hear back from Mr. Kahan within a week saying your application is under evaluation & then hopefully soon 👍 followed by your interview call!

hey sella.....i had the same problem...my scores didnt reach them... so i called up toelf and nbd people. toefl people agreed to send the score again free of cost...and i had to order the nbde score again......so please give them a cal fast and try to work something out....hope this helps

hey sella don't panic ......call up kahan and tell him that you will be sending the fax copies and in meanwhile try get the NBDE score and TOEFl score and update them...but first try to fax the copies.hope this helps.

Hey

ADA will take 15-20 days, at the max, to process and deliver your scores at desired universities. Do not lose hope, with BU you will eventually save a year and tuition for 1 yr. A little money here and there should not hurt you. If it does, you should consider taking up a job (if you have a permit, or if you are in your home country) or else you should atleast try to cut back on your bills and eating-outs and shopping and resources and such (well that is all you can do!).

Don't get disheartened. You will definateley get a call from BU. You have very good stats. Never quit because " Quitters never win and winners never quit" Just stand still and hope for the best. God is there for everyone. Praying for you.

My toefl was missing in BU. Mr Kahan gave me a good idea- he asked me to order score at my home address and then mail that sealed copy directly to BU and it worked. So sella you can try this way..and try using FEDEX or else inplace of usps.

if you ordered your score report online then it should be there within 20 days
it will be use less to talk to mr kahan if you are sure that it has not been delivered.
but after this period to be on safe side you could call them and make sure if they have recieved it or not
