You're bound to get people responding with, "I use Program X, and I feel it helped me because I did really well", when you ask these sorts of questions. People who use these programs are often pretty "hardcore" in their studies, and would have done well regardless. I'm not saying the programs don't work, just saying that it's likely you're going to get a predictable result.
 
I see your point. Still, I wonder if it's a good use of time (30-40 min) per day if one's scores aren't where they'd like it to be. Verbal working memory seems an important component to success on the MCAT, for all sections, and I wonder if this would help.
 
I doubt it will hurt, so go for it. But, it'd be really hard to say whether or not it had a positive impact.
