Does anyone have experience with the MPH program at Brown? I know they offer some scholarships and assistantships which is great - but I cant really find anyone with any first had information about the program. Thanks!
I found this link from 2008 helpful:

I also emailed the school about GRE scores and financial aid/scholarships/assistantships, and below is the reply I received.
"We do not have a minimum GRE. Our admissions committee looks at the whole application, so course work and grades may offset GRE scores and vice versa.
The MPH Program begins on August 26, 2013. Because of the sequencing of courses, there is no alternative start date. All applications received as of January 2 will be considered for financial assistance (including scholarship support and research assistantships). Applications completed between January 2 and May 1 will be reviewed on a rolling, space-available basis and considered for financial assistance if funds remain available. We encourage you to apply early. Applications that are not complete by May 1 will not be considered for admission until the following academic year.
Applications should be completed online through the Brown Graduate School website. Please visit
http://www.brown.edu/academics/gradschool/application-information. The following materials are required:
• the online application for admission;
• official transcripts for all undergraduate, graduate, or medical school academic work and GPA;
• three letters of recommendation;
• personal statement of understanding of public health and commitment to pursuing a career in public health. Statement should explain the relevance of education and/or experience to pursue a career in public health;
• Graduate Record Examination (GRE): General test is required except for medical school graduates who may substitute the MCAT. Only the general GRE test is required, though subject scores will be considered if taken;
• a résumé;
• an application fee.
TOEFL or IELTS scores are required of international students unless they attended a college where English was the primary language of instruction. More information for international applicants can be found at

Information on financial assistance can be found at

Hope this helps!
